What would you like to have buried with you?

Assuming you are getting buried, what will you want in the casket with you?

I am not getting buried ( getting cremated ), but if I was, I would want something from each of my daughters, and something from my wife... plus all my Pink Floyd CDs.

BTW, I think I heard this on a radio talk show in the last few days, or it never would have entered my mind.

I am much too young at age 17 to be thinking of this..I am selfish at this age, haha..

But right now, I would want a Clemson hat from my father, the heart necklace from my mother, something from my sister, and my dogs license tags to know they are all with me. For me I would want to wear my gold Mickey necklace. It is lucky.

I've already told my husband that I want to be buried with my sports car. Yeah, I'm sentimental that way.

When DS was about 11, he bought me a Mickey Mouse keychain made entirely of beads. He bought it at school from a group of Aboriginal ladies who sell crafts. DS is VERY tight with his money. He saves every penny and has never, ever spent a cent, but he bought me that keychain.

That's what I want to be buried with.:goodvibes

Buried? I don't plan to die.....ever!~:goodvibes

My blanky! I also want to be in pajamas and have pics of my family.

I've slept with (yes, I still sleep with it!) a bear that I've had since I was 4. My bear and my pillow are the two things I'd want.

That being said, I won't care when the time comes.

I, too, plan to be cremated.

But, if I were to be buried (not that I'm in any hurry, mind you), I'd like to be buried with a keg of beer and a case of those big pretzels from the walk-up in Germany, Epcot. I figure at that point I don't have to worry about whether it's good for me. What the heck... throw in one or two of those cute fraulines from behind the bar, too! :thumbsup2

Wouldn't matter because I wouldn't be there. I'd be with my parents and my son...:littleangel:

Also planning on cremation---but, if I were being buried, would take my first and last Disney Marathon finisher medals with me .

I plan on being cremated and my ashes placed in a coral reef off Florida, so don't think there would be room to bring any "stuff" with me. Maybe a lock of hair from my loved ones who remain behind???

If I'm buried, I would want nothing to be placed in the coffin (I would actually prefer to be cremated). My spirit will have gone, so I see no reason to "keep" anything with me. Plus, I would rather pass along to my children or other family members anything of sentimental value.

I have 2 religious items I think are comforting to me but if one of my kids wanted them I'd be ok with the kids taking them for their own comfort. After that there is nothing I want but I'm ok wih the idea that my loved ones might want to leave me with things they want with me. I left a small flower with each of my grandmas so I get the need to personalize and warm up the goodbye.

I'm weirdly serene about death, always have been.

...plus all my Pink Floyd CDs.
Please don't take your Floyd CDs with you. Send them to me where they will be in a loving home and listened to with constant admiration.

PS, I'm in need of Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Ummagumma, and Atom Heart Mother please :thumbsup2 (may as well be sure to send me Pulse also, I'm on my 4th copy after wearing out the other 3. A backup of Pulse is always useful.)

Now you can donate my Pink Floyd CDs when I go, but I'd like to be buried with my guitar, incidentally which all I play is David Gilmour stuff, so I'd still actually have my Floyd with me.
