What would you do?

If you were planning a trip to WDW for the 1st time around the holidays (11/28-12/2 to be exact), what resort would you stay at?

I've stayed at CBR and the Swan, and will be staying at AKL (and Pop for 1 night) in a couple of weeks. I'd like to stay somewhere I never have, and want the most magical/beautiful/affordable resort possible!

I'm also considering renting points from a DVC'er, so factor that in...

Looking forward to your assistance! :wave2:

If you are going to go the renting points from a DVCer route, I highly recommend looking into the Boardwalk Inn or the Beach Club Villas. I really love the decorations at these resorts during the holiday season, and the location is awesome.

If you are going to book through Disney, and want something more affordable, I suggest the POFQ. You can always spend a day resort hoping to see the decorations at the other resorts! I always try to make the monorail loop and walk through the Epcot area resorts when I go in December!

My vote is for Beach Club... It's my favorite resort, and although I've never been during the holidays, I hear it is amazing!! Have Fun! princess:

Yes on all counts :cheer2:

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Since we're going to be there longer than typical in April (8 whole days - bliss!), we won't have to go "park commando", and I already told DH we will be resort shopping for Xmas time.

Keep them coming!!

My family and I were really impressed with POFQ. It is beautiful, peaceful and the boat ride to DTD was very nice! The carriage ride was wonderful, too! Plus if you get the infamous resort mug it is good at POR, as well. Not to mention you can enjoy the pool and other activites POR has to offer! If you don't want to walk from the FQ you can take the boat on over to the other side!

If you rent points stay at a DVC Home Away from Home. I haven't stayed at any of them yet; so don't know which one to recommend.

I suggest the WL. It is beautiful at Christmas and one of the lowest cost deluxe resorts. You get all of the deluxe advantages at a price much lower than GF, YC, etc.

I would do Boardwalk--it's fairly easy to rent DVC points there. If you don't go that route, I would suggest GF. For a moderate, definitely POR or POFQ.
