You have $6000 for a vacation. What would you do with it?

Okay, I know this is vague, so let’s keep it in the US, and physical activity is a priority. Roughing it is okay, good food, no cities.

Alaska, Hawaii.

I would suggest the national parks, but not sure good food fits that, that's often a city.

How many people? Any kids?

No kids! Me and husband. We love national parks and have been to many, but never to the Montana, Glacier area. Good breweries can have some good food. 😊

We would head west to go to DisneyLand since we've never been before. That would probably use up the $6000 b/c I wouldn't be in the coupon-state-of-mind on that trip. Coming in at a VERY close 2nd place would be to see the different national monuments/parks out west & north.

Florida Keys, Hawaii. Someplace we can golf, and DH can "play" with wildlife. I am not a country girl. I appreciate nature and wildlife, but I'd rather spend by time by an ocean.

Interesting question. That is a very generous budget by my standards. However, not sure how generous it is given what people on the DIS say they spend on vacations.

Hawaii or Alaska for the US but personally I would choose to go somewhere outside the US.

Hawaii sounds good! OR, maybe Vegas (not the city but the natural areas around it like Red Rock, etc).

Hawaii or a cruise. I would go on a cruise......love them. Alaska cruise would be great

I would head north to Maine and do all the things, like whale-watching, Puffin and lighthouse tours, go out to catch your own lobster, bike tours, garden tours. This is an actual bucket-list trip I am in the planning stages of.

I agree that with six grand I would go outside of the US, but if I was staying in the US I'd probably go to this little theme park in Florida that I've heard so much about.... 😁 One could couple that with a cruise maybe.

Leaving out WDW, which is honestly the first place I'd head, I'd like to go to Graceland and geek out on all the kitschy Elvis stuff.
