So I learned a few weeks ago I'll be going to Orlando for several days for a work conference. I'm staying at the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista hotel near Disney Springs. I arrive late (11:30pm) on 9/11 and fly out early (6:00am 9/15). I'll be at the conference (Orlando World Center Marriott) from 8am-5pm on 9/12 and 9/13. I bought a MNSSHP ticket for 9/14. I just feel like I want to do more than sit around the hotel or even at Disney Springs with my free time.
My AP just expired two weeks ago and I just got back from a 6 night WDW family trip four weeks ago. DHS and AK are closing at 8:30 both nights.
What would you do the nights of 9/12 and 9/13 and the day of 9/14 before the party? It doesn't make sense to purchase a 1 day ticket based on the cost and amount of time I'd be able to spend at a park. Looking for something relatively low-cost (would prefer to expense as much as possible
) but also more unique than "explore the resorts".
I'm not really into shopping so will only spend a little time at Disney Springs to eat. On our trip in late July, we spent a good amount of time exploring the monorail resorts so not interested in doing that again (anybody else feel guilty doing something solo that you also did with your kids?).
Thanks all!
