hi everyone my train from south wales arrives at st pancras at 12:22 am and then we have to check in for our tickets for the dlp train around 6:30 am what should we do? Is there anywhere to rest? is it safe or would you book a hotel for those few hrs thanks :lovestruc

As far as I can remember from reading TRs there is a travelodge/premier inn very near the station but I cant say from experience sorry. Do you think you would rest?
I normally end up getting about 3 hours sleep the night before. We stay in the Travelodge near the airport and catch a 6.30am plane but naturally the excitement kicks in. I definately think resting up for a bit is a good idea though. Or Id be running on empty the next day.

I personally wouldnt just stay around train station/london. I would get a room even if its for safety and a few hours kip. There are travelodges and premier inns in and around st pancras.

I'd definitely get a room for the night - there are three travel lodges in the area, two premier inns and lots of budget hotels. Not only will you feel more refreshed the next day, you'll also feel a lot safer.

We are booked in the Premier Inn just round the corner from St Pancras, and really recommend it (although they seem to be refurbishing the air conditioning at the moment).

Is it really a 6.30 check-in for the Eurostar though? The train leaves at 09:44, so leaving yourself an hour to check-in should be plenty of time I would have thought. You could then have a decent kip in the hotel, and a good breakfast to set you up for the day, before boarding the train (I love the Premier Inn breakfast - plenty to eat!).

hi everyone thanks for your replys. we are taking the indirect train and it leaves at 7.34am :cool1: I think i will catch an earlier train from south wales and spend a full afternoon/ eve in London then as it seems it will be safer, thanks again :lovestruc
