What would you do??

I have a waitlist to add one night to BWV to the beginning of my vacation due to flight issues and us having to arrive one day earlier than originally planned.... I am getting close to the 31 day window where I have the waitlist on until.

I can get a studio at SSR or OKW (which I prefer as I've never stayed there before)... however would you use points at another resort for just one night, we'll be arriving in the evening or would you just pay for one night at a value then move on the next morning to actually start your vacation?

I'd love to hear your suggestions/what you've done in these cases in the past.... plus I'd love to continue to get your pixie dust that we will indeed get our room at BWV.

I would probably secure a reservation in a studio at a different resort and then ask them to keep you on the wait list for BWV up to 7 days prior to the trip. I've had to add an extra night for my last two trips to BCV due to airline availability and was able to get into BCV both times through wait lists within 30 day window. If your wait list doesn't come through, call within the 7 day window to see if there have been any cancellations. This has also worked for me. Pixie dust that it will all work out for you!

Did you ask MS about availability on cash for night you want to add ? You never know, 25% member discount could be available and you may find it worth it to not have to move on day 2 of your trip and I think that latest cancellation for cash is 5 days prior to check in so you could still keep the points waitlist going in the meanwhile.

I go check in the other place as early as possible - you can do it at 6:30am. then go to the parks. sometimes there is a room available - when are you going?
