what would you do if you could have eisners job...to make disney more affordable..i would run their web site different....make a package deal a real deal for a five night stay at pofq on a deluxe package quoted for 2066.44 on web site...priced seperatly its 1440.76...thats with 70 day for food for 2 adults...my thinking would be to keep people on property as much as possible...how much do they lose with people going off site to eat...or stay at other hotels...also would figure a way to transport people to and from airport on disney buses...if they dont have a rental car..then you have them spending on property all 5 days....just my thoughts ... what would you do

First I would creat a frequent stayer program, similiar to an airline one. you get so many points for staying onsight, so many for value, moderate, deluxe. Then you get more points for getting an UMP, and then points for the MVMCP,MNSSHP, etc. you get points for every dollar you spend in the restaurants, etc.
Then after so many points you get a free night,an upgrade or a free pass or something to reward you for your returning patronage. You could build up your points to get a free weeks stay! The more you spend the more the points!(imagine the points the pin collectors could rack up in a year!)

Then I would lower the cost of the kids meals for the ages of 3-5, then I would make the adult age at 13, I would also give a nice booking discount for early bookings, and then if you pay it off by this date we'll give you an extra so much off,(like a rebate) or a free meal/s for early bookings and early payoffs. I would not charge for valet parking.

I would also make my executives take a pay cut, that would be a bigger chunk of savings as opposed to taking it form the peeons making diddly squat. I would also have to take a pay cut myself.

I think that I would also adjust the price of a ticket for the ones who arent' tall enough to ride a lot of the rides. it owuldn't be a large adjustment, maybe just like 5 dollars, but hey when you have 3 kids and you are staying for a week that could add up!

I know this may have some flaws in it, but hey its something right?

A kid at heart - I really like your ideas!!!

I recommend you for the job!! LOL

I would extend the hours! With Early mornings and lots of E-nights!!

I would make True perks for staying onsite, like discounts for kids and Teens staying with parents. So,families could afford to stay on property.

I would create a suites hotel[with enough room for families of at least 6] at moderate prices on the MK monorail.

I would run sales on AP's.

I would offer every guest help with their lugage.

I would Make Spring Break a Family season and offer special pricing,to families with Jr high and High School students whose only time to go to WDW is that time.

MK has four resorts that relate to the park, Epcot: what Resort that relates to the park, Ak has Ak lodge, MGM has What near the theme park?
I hate to beat the horse to death but look at the HIFS model!

They have theme suites realizing that the Family is important which was the ORIGINAL WALT DISNEY CONCEPT.

Second exclusive transportation for guest who stay at the resorts like a MONORAIL etc. to the theme park related to the theme Resorts. Wilderness Lodge has a boat ride , why not a canal boat ride from the AK to/from AKL.

Lastly , from a stock holders veiw why not spin- off the Worlds (WDW,Disneyland,Tokyo,Paris, and China as independents which would promote competition instead of complexity and stagnation in the minds of cast members and management.
ENJOY! :jester:
