What would you do?

I'll try and make this as short and simple as possible.
We are going to florida in january but are already thinking about our next holiday, now my brother has asked if we would like to go to egypt with his family oct 2007, so this has got me thinking, we can either do egypt for 1 week then and florida for 2 weeks in oct 2008 or do we forget egypt and go to florida for 3 weeks aug/sept 2008. Unfortunately don't think we'd be ale to afford to do both egypt and florida for 3 weeks. What would you do??
I know the decision is down to us but i keep changing my mind and need some opinions.

If it was Eygpt OR Florida then WDW would win but if you can feasable fit them both in then go for it!

Could you do Egypt for 2 weeks in 2007 and then Florida for 2 weeks in 2008? If not I would do Egypt for a week and then Florida for 2 the year after, it would be a shame not to go to Egypt as it is meant to be lovely there.

We can only do a week in egypt because we are taking DD out of school for Florida in january so the oct 2007 trip would have to be 1 week in the half term.

My sensible head tells me that it would be a great experience to go to Egypt, but if it was me there would be no contest ~ WDW everytime ~ Sorry

I agree with Kaylee and Jodie. Whereabouts in Egypt? We did a week in Cairo one Easter and that was fab - the sights are incredible and it's definitely a place I'd like to go back to but a week was sufficient for us to have an amazing time.

If it was just up to me i think i would do the 3 weeks in florida but DD is doing a project on egypt aswell at the moment and she's really interested in it so i know she would love to go, so i've got to think of the kids and try and be adult about this and put my sensible head on but really i'd like to see the mouse for 3 weeks, god i'm worse than the kids.

Well, as far as I know Sharm is predominantly a beach resort so in that case I'd probably go to WDW for 3 weeks and take DD to the British Museum to see their Egyptian artefacts...

A colleague of mine has just spent 2 weeks there ~ He didn't leave the resort the entire time If it was at all possible I would opt for a week in Egypt and then Florida.

I'm going to go against the flow here and say go with Florida.

Egypt was Diane's and my worst holiday. In spite of the desire to see the pyramids were we completely underwhelmed when we saw them. There were so many other cultural reason why Diane would tear out her eyes first before ever going back

Definetly go for both; best way to see it all. It's up to you how you spend the time there; perhaps you want to go for a 1 1/2 each way to balance things out?

I'd go to Egypt if there was going to be an opportunity to leave the resort and see something Egyptian!

If it was just a holiday on the red sea I'd only do a week, there are. after all, many other wonderful things to see in Egypt that unless you were doing the whole Cairo/Luxor/Aswan thing it only justifies a week, then do 3 in Florida.

p.s. I think it would be fabulous if Epcot added an Egypt 'country' to the world showcase.

Think of the experiences you will all have in Egypt. Amazing place.

Egypt would definately be out for me. WDW for 3 weeks with out any doubt would be my choice. Remember the Magic.
