What would you do with this FP?

Good morning,

I booked our fastpass a few weeks ago, and I just realized that you have to be 48' inches to ride Rock n Roller Coaster. My DS is only 44' inches and I pretty sure he wont grow to 48' inches in a month. So my questions are:

Should me and my little one use our 3rd fastpass for something else? If so what will be close by so I wont be too far away from the others. This is our first time there and kids and hubby are not familiar with the area.

Should we just tap our fastpass when the other go. and wait for them. I don't know if that's a good idea because those fastpass could be used for another family and it is gone to waste if we do this.

Also I am not sure how to cancel just our two fastpass without messing over the other 3 in my party.

TIA!

Hi there, we have split up our family for certain rides whether it was someone not wanting to ride or size. I would either take your 2 FP and get a FP for something your son can ride at the same time or just get a FP for something later and you just wait on the rest of your party to get off of RNR. I would not want to subject my daughter who is right around 48" to not being tall enough and sad she can't ride. I'd just split up for the time being and find something else to do. It's easy to change FP+ for each guest and you won't mess up anyone elses.

Tower of Terror is nearby and 40”. You could try modifying just the fastpasses for you and your son.

You could switch you and the 44inch child to tower of terror. Or go to lighting McQueen’s racing academy shown which is close by and has no height requirement

We are already have a FP for Tower of Terror. This is my 2nd FP.

McQueen racing academy would that need a FP?

I would suggest swapping your RnR FP+ for something else. The only thing that's really close to it is Tower of Terror. Not sure off the top of my head what the height limit for that one is. It's fun...don't let the name fool you. ETA...took my 10 minutes to write this post, got interrupted by a phone call. Never mind the ToT idea. Not a ton else is really close by.

You would go into MDE and modify the FP+ and just choose you and your DS.

What about Disney Junior Party? How close it that to Rock and Roller Coaster. I looked on the map and it looks close but of course its on a map.

You can do rider switch and ride RNR yourself while your husband waits with your son, and then your husband can ride while you wait with your son.

Alternately, you could switch it to Star Tours or a show. I avoid Star Tours because of motion sickness, but it's definitely worth doing if that's not an issue for you.
But, it's nowhere near Rock n Roller Coaster.

I may be in the minority but I don't like having separate FP in our group. One of my daughters is 48" and the other was 42" when we last went. We just made all FP the same no matter the height and if my daughter couldn't ride we all went through the FP line and did rider swap. One parent would go with the bigger one and the other would take the little one for a giant donut, ice cream, cookie, etc. Then we'd meet back and the other parent would ride again with the bigger daughter.

My little one couldn't ride Everest, FOP, Primeval Whirl, or Rock-n-roller and she honesty could not care less because she was getting one on one time with one of us.

If it were my family, I'd give my and my youngest son's magicbands/tickets to the oldest two kids, let them ride twice with FP, let dad ride once with his FP and wait for them, while young one and I went to watch racing academy (it's right there). Whatever your choice, have a great time.

McQueen racing academy is right by RNRC. You 2 could go see it while they ride RNRC. I dont know if they take FP for it though.

No Fast Pass for McQueen Racing Academy. Reports have been that waits are short - 10-15 minutes.

OP, you could cancel your RNRC FP (or tap in) and do McQueen standby. I believe to cancel, you have to click cancel, then select the specific individuals in the party that you want to cancel.

ToT and McQueen are the only rides real close. Beauty and the Best show is near by, if you have any interest in that. Everything else is fairly far away.

The Beauty and the Beast show is close if you have any interest in that!

Also, I suggest maybe splitting up (since you won’t need a fp for Beauty and the Beast) and then giving the little one’s magic band to another in your party to ride again with you while the others hang out with the 3 year old. That way you won’t have to miss it ;)

The closest attractions (aside from ToT which you have FP+ for) are Lightning McQueen (no FP+) and Beauty and the Beast (FP+ available, check showtimes to see if it coincides with the RnRC FP+). Little Mermaid and Disney Jr. aren't terribly far away (FP+ available) - you could always go there and then meet back up on Hollywood Blvd. If you choose to do something that has FP+, simply modify the FP+ on the website or app. When you modify, it will ask you which guests you are modifying for, click you and your DS and go from there.

This is exactly what I am doing.

Thank you so much.

I also thought about the Beauty and the Beast show but I think we are going to use that as our 4th FP together as a family.
