What would you do if you had the chance to study abroad all summer?

So I was given the chance to study abroad for Three weeks in Nicaragua the second poorest country in the school. I was chosen by Two teachers at my school and only ten people get chosen. I see this as a huge opportunity and a great thing to put on college apps! Then i see it as a really hot muggy run down country that I'll have to do lots of fundraising to go to, pay a small sum of money, and have no contact with anyone for three weeks.
I need some opinions. Please help!!

If you want to do it, go for it. It would be quite the experience.

That being said, the fact that I wouldn't have any contact for 3 weeks would be the line for me. If I'm going to be in a completely different country I would want to be able to have contact with my family if something happens.

Why not try to spell Czechoslovakia??
It would make me review for so many times before deciding if it is the right spelling or not.
