Originally I was planning for our family to eat a good sized buffet breakfast at Islands Dining room & then hit the parks. Since we are only staying onsite for 1 night & onsite guests will get in 1 hour early (not confirmed yet but I am going with it!) I am stumped as to what to do for breakfast. What do you suggest? We wanted the buffet b/c it would hold us until dinner with a snack inbetween.

We have done cinabons but can get expensive but good.
I think I would stay with the plan of Islands for buffet cause while some consider it expensive we did it last year and the food was great and plenty of choices :thumbsup2

We stay at HRH and every morning eat a big breakfast at The Kitchen. We then pack snacks to hold us over til dinner. We usually have dinner around 5pm to avoid the wait times at the restaurants.

Maybe bring some fruit and breakfast bars for the hotel. Head to the parks for early entry. Do HP, then grab brunch somewhere.

That's what we would like to do, just don't know where else to grab brunch.

Islands brunch is excellent. Maybe do the brunch on check out day?

HMMM..that's a tough one....LOL! Islands opens at 7 am...but early entry (going with it with you) would be 8 am. That doesn't leave much time to enjoy a buffet and get to IOA for 8 am.

I think I would grab a quick breakfast in my room and get to WWoHP for early entry. Considering IMHO this is going to be super crowded, I would want to be there as I am allowed.

I agree with another poster....and I would do Island on check out day or simply not at all for this stay. JMHO...enjoy whatever you do!

We figured it would cost around $80 for breakfast buffet for the four of us at Islands, so we skipped that. We at breakfast at the Boulangerie in US and were absolutely delighted. Huge croissant sandwiches for $4.99. Gorgeous muffins and pastries. Very reasonably priced and great service. Plus it's inside the park so you can easily see when things start to get crowded and it's time to hit it.

If UO is your first stop, can you bring breakfast from home?

OR...you can stop by Croissant Moon on your way into IOA and grab something.

OR...you can have something on the way in early (or stop at CM) and do buffet character breakfast at Confisco's.

Or...stop at any place in CW on your way either for something small to tide you over till later till you can get something more filling to eat.

Wonder if you will NEED to have res for 3 Broomsticks? :scratchin

OOhhhh forgot about Croissant Moon Bakery, we had breakfast there and it was cheap and delicious!

If I remember corectly,Island breakfast buffet starts at 7am.I don't see getting there at 7am,30min to eat,hit the boat and be at IOA by not much later then 8am!But thats me,I know I can get my fill in 30min or less.

Its on the right side as you enter IOA,about 100yrds past the entrance.Or if you see the christmas store, its 1 store next.

Great! We will definately seek it out!
Also, does anyone think the "meal plan' is a good idea? I haven't tried to price it out entirely...but I know we always end up eating inside the parks since we are having such a great time and don't want to leave to get food!

This is what I was hoping! We only have 1 morning so saving it for when we check out IS the only morning we have.

Croissant Moon Bakery sounds yummy, but it is at the entrance & I do not want to waste time that far from WWOHP.

Not sure where Boulangerie is in relation to WWOHP, but I understand they have great coffee's & DH is a coffee nut.

I was also thinking Brooksticks would be PACKED.

Maybe we will take granola bars & have a bigger, earlier lunch.

We just came back from a trip and that is what we did. We had fruit/breakfast bars in the room and were ready for an early lunch at 11:30 at Mythos. Worked out perfectly because not only did we not have to rush in the AM, but we were the first ones seated at Mythos and avoided that lunch rush too. It was a great time to relax too after a busy morning.

You will literally walk right past in on your way in. You cannot get to Harry Potter w/o passing it.

It's in the other park.
