What would you do? ADR question

Hello! We are staying 8 nights at poly then switching to AKL CL.

I will be up at 6 am for my 180 day mark for poly and making most only ADRs...and I can technically make for 10 days out correct?

Now, two reservations I want...Jiko and tusker house lunch...would be for during our AKL stay. Would you make the reservations yourself since they would be within the 10 day range or would you email the concierge at AKL and have them make those ADRs for you? They are both must do's for us.

Tusker house would be a party of 5, Jiko would be 2, probably not "traditional" dinner time....thinking like 730.

I have never stayed CL before so I don't know how it really works. But I will say that I like to be in control of my own adrs. If you are making the rest of your adrs y not just finish what you started and make your adrs for tusker house and jiko?

Excellent question lol...and it's for the sole reason of wanting to utilize a benefit .... Not a great reason I know lol!!

Unfortunately, you will only be able to make nine days of ADRs at the 180 mark for your Poly reservation, as the 180+10 allows "up to" 10 days of reservations based on the length of your reservation. I say nine rather than eight as it allows you to make ADRs from your check-in date to your check-out date (and for eight nights, that would be nine days).

This was confirmed by my experience booking ADRs for my own split-stay in May - I was able to book my first three days of ADRs for my first reservation, but had to wait until the 180 mark for my second reservation before I started booking the rest of my trip. However, as you can book ADRs for the day you check out of the Poly , perhaps that's one of the days you plan to book those two ADRs?

That said, you shouldn't have any problems booking Tusker House and especially Jiko at 180 days out from the AKL reservation.

Oh thank you for clarifying that!!! Also thanks for letting me know that those two choices shouldn't be an issue as unfortunately, neither will be on check out day.

I hadn't even thought about it going for length of stay!
