Nashville is definitely rainy right now. Not too hot now, but before we left for FL, we were having temps in the 90s! Guess that's why I thought the weather in FL while we were there was quite pleasant and breezy!
The savannah view rooms all look out over different savannahs, each having it's own set of animals. We were on Arusha Savannah on Zebra Trail which has Zebras, Ankole Cattle, variety of birds, giraffes, and some other animals (have to look at my list), I think Gembok and Blesbok. I didn't miss a water view - we actually were overlooking a watering hole. I sat out on the balcony at night after my daughter fell asleep watching. The savannah is lit at night to simulate a full moon, so you can really see quite well at night. Early morning and late afternoon and night is the best times to see the animals. They pretty much lay low during midday. For our short time there, the view was nice, but for an extended stay I would be happy with a standard which does not provide a savannah or pool view. There are so many viewing spots throughout the resort that you have plenty of opportunity to see the animals. It is such a beautiful resort. And the pool is wonderful! I just really liked the "feel" of the resort. To me it seems much more deluxe than WL, which was done by the same architect. If you are into art, they have an incredible collection of primitive, folk, and African art. I was there with just my daughter, and I think I would really enjoy staying there if traveling alone. I really don't think you would regret a stay there even if you were only there in the mornings and late evenings! Especially if you can get a good deal!
