What would you change about the on-site hotels if you could?

:teeth: I wish the RPR, HRH, and PBH all had rooms with balconies or patios.

:teeth: I wish the old water pressure of the RPR would come back.

:teeth: I wish platinum members had their choice of a club room or a suite.

:teeth: I wish the cabanas at the RPR were as cool as the ones at the HRH.

Soooo... how about you?

In a perfect world, what would you wish to change to make your overall Loews Orlando experience more enjoyable?

I second the balconies wish.

I also wish the pool at RPR had a slide

I wish deluxe rooms were available at RPR

I wish they would make a shortcut entrance to the back of IOA for RPR (kind of like at epcot)

I third the balconies. :thumbsup2

I wish the shortcut entrance through the Beach Club at HRH was re-opened.

I wish the beds weren't so damned hard.

I wish people would read (and obey) the "no smoking by the pool" sign.

We were kind of spoiled at the Loew's South Beach:
I wish they had widescreen plasma TV's.
That they gave free lemonade daily in the lobby.
That they gave free mini-massages at the pool.
That they provided periodic cold towels and bottled ice water at the pool.
Magazines poolside that you could borrow.
Pool attendants that set up the lounge chairs with cushions, towels and umbrellas.
Employees empowered to provide guest's desires.
Balconies big enough to have a table with 4 chairs and 2 lounge chairs.

:wizard: Beyond that there are hotels that don't have a check-in time so if you get there at 6 am the room is yours.
A butler would be nice.
In room foot massages.
Jacuzzi tubs.
A humidor of the amenity cookies in the club lounge.
Emeril's desserts at bedtime in the club.
Free in room movies.
Carriage rides.
In room computers.
Refridgerators.
Microwaves.
Washers and dryers.

Fridge, microwave, and internet access are my biggest wants.

Balconies overlooking a nightly firework display :confused3

Soundproofed rooms.

For all Loews staff to be aware of LoewsFirst benefits. ie. extended check-out etc

Waive the car park fee or incorporate it into the room rate.

On-site grocery store

Platinum members to get a guaranteed suite, whether it's a King suite, Kids suite, Hospitality suite etc etc.

Fridge

Deeper pools

Entrance to Universal Studios via a walkway across the Hard Rock Car Park.

Airport Pick-up/Drop off service.

Spoiled...you..never! :rotfl2:

Ummm...I think I should add to my wish list

Pedro, the cabana boy, at my beck and call

Evening turndown service to include a foot massage

Valet laundry service included.

:goodvibes

Balconies would be really great, however I'd be slightly paranoid about palmetto bugs flying into the room. Giant flying cockroaches just aren't my thing. :crazy2:

I second the airport pick-up/drop off service...that would be great!

A free continental breakfast would be awesome...but I know that's definitely asking for too much.

I would love it if all Loews hotel employees could "get on the same page". It seems like the rules are different depending on which employee you're speaking with. I also don't like that you're not eligible for your Loews welcome amenity if you've paid a discounted rate. I mean, come on, it's not like the welcome amenity is a Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace. In my opinion, a really crappy way to start your vacation is to get up to the check-in counter and be told "sorry, you won't be getting your welcome amenity because you paid a discounted rate". I myself have received my amenity with all 3 of my stays even though I booked with non-qualifying rates (travelocity, entertainment & APH)...however, my Mother has been told at the check-in counter that she wouldn't receive her amenity. Okay, I'll stop complaining now. :)

A fridge in the room would be nice and pools open a bit later, especially in the summer months, abolish the parking fees [for longer stay i.e 1 week or more] and a slide at RPR instead of a play area.

Good ones! Keep them coming! :)

I too wish that you wouldn't be made to feel like a cheap skate because you booked with an APH rate! They can be so condescending when they tell you that you won't get your welcome amenity because of your discounted rate.

Great thoughts everyone! This has been fun to read. :thumbsup2

I would love to see a full balcony or patio in every onsite room. A nice teak outdoor furniture set, so I can enjoy my coffee in the morning, and cocktail in the evening, as I watch the spectacular firework show.

Themed suites all different. Each can be based on a ride or attraction.

Daily laundry service.

Personal chauffeur, butler, and masseuse.

All the rooms have bathrooms like PBH dlx's.

A nice array of pastries and cordials left at turndown.

Fresh cut flowers left daily in my room.

Soft plush robes and slippers.

Large plasma TV in bedroom and a smaller one on the wall in the bathroom.

Each room comes with a cabana, pools that never close.

Mimosa's and bloody mary's, basket of danish and croissants and fresh fruit each morning.

Check out times to coincide with your flight home.

OK I know some of these are outrageous but they were fun to think of! :)

On a more serious note:

APH rates that qualify!
Hotel staff and Universal employee's quoting the same information.
More room choices at RPR.
More food options at HRH.
Slide at RPR's pool.
Longer pool hours.
Special park hours for hotel guests (LATE NIGHT!)
Rooms ready when you check in.
Platinum status that means something no matter what rate you booked.
Fridge in each room.
Extra pillows, robes and slippers in each room.

Thanks for starting this Jodie! :wave2:
