what would u do with $500

Hi, i'm so happy its only 21 days until my first trip to wdw. On top of that my dad has just given us (myself 25, husband 30 & daughter 8) $500. My park tickets are bought, we have arranged a character lunch in the castle & we have a fantismic dinner package organised. What would u spend an unexpected $500 on. I was thinking about cirque du soleil, but not sure.
Any other ideas or thoughts!

Do something special like Cirque (it was great-both of my DDs, ages 5 & 8, loved it!), but then save the rest to pay for food down there. JMO...

I would get the person who gave me the money something great, adn then use the rest to do a special dinner show. Or even just use it as extra spending money.

I think that a few special dinners would be great. If you haven't already made all your ps's, maybe add a few. There is no better feeling than having more than enough money to spend on little extras. Snacks, souvineres, something special for you all, and your very generous dad!

I would use it towards some special souviners (sp?) that I wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. I would also make sure I get that person something very special, not cheesy.

Since it was a gift and meant to do something really special, I would go to the spa at GF and get a massage for hubby and me and get the "My First Manicure and Pedicure" for the 8 yo DD! May still have enough left over to do Hoop de Doo!

What a great Dad, I would do the Illuminations cruise or something otherwise family togetherness and magical. If it were me I would get family portraits taken like I have read in other post on the board, I really want to do that since I have a heck of a time getting dh to get pictures taken together, the last one was 2 years ago and dd was 2 But if the DH had the 500 from his Dad he would do the family fishing trip thing, just pick what is best for your family. Or say thank you we had a great time and ate well or whatever and put the money in a 529 college plan for your dd, tax deferred in my state and I am always putting money in there for the dd. Have a great trip and good luck with whatever you chose to do.

That's a really sweet gesture! I would buy Dad a little something, maybe a nice Disney themed frame and put a picture of your Dd in it?
I would add the rest to the food budget and some treats for Dd.

Thanks for the ideas. I'v just booked out tickets for cirque la nouba. We are going to make a night of it can have a nice dinner after. I think we will also buy my daughter the new Pal mickey.
My dad and his wife will also be getting a very nice gift.
It would be a nice thought to take dad but as my mum (his ex-wife), my stepdad and 2 half brothers are coming on the trip, I don't think dad and wife would really be to keen. (LOL) I would however like to go with him another time. (this is my first trip & i'm planning the next one, never mind the 12 months it took saving to get this time)
