I've wondered what are the items that I should pack JUST IN CASE! What are you bringing just in case? What do you wish you had packed just in case?

I thought we could get some interesting answers... and the answer you give just may save a wedding!

super glue - it can glue a bead on or a fingernail or a broken jewerly

big diaper safety pins - I have used these to fix many things..because they are so large, they can hold more fabric secure than a regular safety pin

Great question! This is what I think that I am going to bring...

I heard that in a pinch- white chalk can cover marks on a white dress (if you have a white dress), clear nail polish (for runs in stockings), static spray, and a lint roller.

One of the loops on my bustle broke right before we walked into the reception. One of my BM's had dental floss in her bag and she fixed it with this. It held up my bustle all day.

A needle and thread!! As a wedding photographer, I cannot tell you how many times I have had to use this. I have sewn many a bride in her dress or had to make a repair. One of the recent weddings we did, a bride had gained some weight since her last fitting and her zipper broke on her dress as a result!! I spent an hour sewing her in it, and then packed scissors in her husband's honeymoon bag!

Also, lip gloss. Many times when we go to take pictures someone has forgotten to put on lipstick, or it has worn off. It makes a big difference in pics.

Other essentials - hairspray and bobby pins

Not sure if this would be considered an emergency kit item but...when I went for my make-up trial I noted the lipstick she used and bought a tube so I'd have it for touch-ups at the reception. In the end I never needed to re-apply because one of my BMs picked me up lipstick sealer from Sephora and that stuff locked my lipstick on for the entire event.

I thought of one other thing I wish I'd had--copies of the readings for our ceremony. One of our readers got lost on the way to the church and missed her reading (a poem). I'd given her my only copy at the rehearsal so we just had to skip it. If I'd had a copy I could've had my sister (MOH) step in.

I know this is kind of OT, but you know they have those birth control pills now that you can take continually for 3-4 months at a time...then no suprises!

Oh, which reminds me something else for the list....birth control. Unless you want a little Tinker or Mickey nine months later!
