What would happen if the CR pool was closed, could those guests swim at BLT?

They would probably allow it, as well as open up another monorail pool. Other DVC pools are open for non DVC guests at those resorts. All they'd have to do is simply reprogram the locks to the pool at Bay Lock Tower to accept keys from wherever.

Remember, pool renovations generally occur in the winter off season. So it is likely that pool demand would be low due to the cooler tempatures. I would imagine that going down to one pool at CR would be adequate.

In theory I guess they could but the BLT pool is not that large, so I am guessing they would add Poly or WL to the list.

It was around last year during this time they were renovating the main pool at the Contemporary and building the kids splash play area, which was not during the winter months. Also the Contemporary guests were allowed to swim at the Polynesian or Wilderness Lodge, so using their smaller pool would not have been adequate for those guests staying there during that time.
