What would be the best thing you have experienced at WDW?

Since the other thread has gotten kinda depressing, I would like to know your favorite moment(s) at WDW. Mine was when my wife saw Fantasmic for the first time. I do recall her crying (tears of joy)!! Also, seeing Illuminations for the first time last year with my DD!!!

Mine was when I attempted the 1/2 marathon 5 months after major back surgery. It was very early in the morning when the race started. Nothing was opened or moving. We were staying at the Dolphin. By the time I hobbled my way to Epcot I knew I would never make it to the end and reluctantly gave in. I was in a lot of pain when I finally hit World Showcase and really didn't think I could make it back to the Dolphin. Out of no where a man appeared on a speedboat -(you know the spot- where they drop people off with the bigger boats). He said, "You look like you could use a lift, hop in". He drove me right to the Dolphin boat ramp. I still get teary when I wonder what magic made him appear at that exact moment, but I sure was grateful.

Boating in the lake in front of MK and viewing the Castle, Space Mountain, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, & Wilderness Lodge from such a wonderful vantage point.

This fulfilled a lifelong dream.

Gosh, how to choose....
Seeing the look of wonder and enchantment on my son's face at Cindy's when those princesses all came over to talk to him. I love my pictures of my son just watching them sign his book and hanging on their every word.
Or, the character greets on Eride night, when Chip and Dale were walking on their hands and playing a game of chase with my son.
Or, when we rounded the corner at MGM and my son yelled "MOM, THAT'S THE REAL BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!" An older girl in line tried to squelch the pixie dust and tell him he wasn't real, but my ds wouldn't have any of it!
or, that first kiss from my dh when we come under the train station, see the castle, and he tells me "Guess what honey, we made it".

Mine would be the very first time we entered the gates at MK, walking down Main Street and seeing the Castle for the very very first time in real life, not on TV or pictures, but for real..the feeling of finally being there was incredible. To be swept up in the magic and the happiness...still gives me warm feeling inside just thinking about it...

The other would be when my DD got close to the characters, the twinkle in her eyes..her smile and the "I don't believe this is happening to me"- expression on her face

Sigh..can 3 weeks go a little bit faster???

1. When my oldest son was 3, we were waiting for Buzz and Woody to come out of Al's Toy Barn after a rain storm. Everyone else in line had left because of the storm and we were the first ones in line. When the characters came out, my son started running around in circles, splashing in the puddles and yelling, "It's Woody and Buzz! It's Woody and Buzz!" He had the biggest smile on his face.

2. When we were at the end of our meal at Crystal Palace, we were getting ready to leave and couldn't find our 2 year old Tony. Everybody was asking "Where's Tony?" He was two tables over giving Pooh Bear a big hug while Pooh was taking pictures with another family. My husband swears he called Pooh "Daddy."

3. Tony got his first haircut at the barbershop on Main Street. Mike the Barber was so sweet and gave him all these stickers to make him feel comfortable. (We finally got one of these moments on video!) We were given free Mickey Mouse ears with First Haircut written on the back and a great haircut.

Sorry I couldn't pick just one. These are the things that stick out in my mind.

ds (age 2) meeting mickey for the first time 2 months ago in toontown. i wasn't sure what his reaction would be. he ran right up and hugged him! i almost cried! (he hugged every character on that trip LOL)

same ds getting his first 'official' haircut in the main st. barber shop when he was 9 months old. michel was fantastic with him! i have the entire thing on videotape, while he was getting his haircut the 'dapper dans' were in the shop doing a show. it's my favorite memory from our jan '03 trip.

For our family it was when we took our first family trip to WDW in 1998. We had so much fun!!!!! We took our grown children and grandchildren (ages 28-2). I have some of the best pictures of my children as adults in the Disney Spirit. Small children always capture the spirit and it is magic in there eyes. A magical moment is around every corner. Priceless pictures of my children and grandchildren with there favorite characters is what I treasure most from that trip. We still have many conversations about that trip.

I would say that my favorite thing was when a couple of CM's came up to my family while we were walking around and said that they would take us to any ride we wanted and put us at the front of the line with no waiting. I thought that was so great!

1. Seeing the Castle for the first time in 1993.
2. Watching my nephews met Mickey Mouse.
3. Watching my niece squeeze Pooh's nose.
4. Watching another niece jump up and down in pure joy during Spectromagic--calling out character's names.
5. Watching my 2 nieces smile in happiness when characters shook their hands.
6. Watching my 2 yr old niece dance with Daisy Duck.
7. Seeing Illumations for the first time.
8. Seeing Wishes for the first time.

And I could go on and on and on.

Taking my totally cool and sometimes sullen 13 yo dd to WDW and having her turn back into a little girl again (if only for 8 days). She would get excited and accidentally say, "Mommy" instead of "Mom" or the even more dreaded, "Mo-ther." (One of my favorite lines from Gilmore Girls is, "Don't say Mother like it really has another word after it.") She would hold my hand and be genuinely interested in what I had to say. That whole trip was just priceless to me and neither one of us can wait to go back! That was our best trip ever.

Our first trip to WDW as a couple...When we crossed the border into Florida, I cried. I just could not beleive that it was all real and we were finally going to WDW.

The surprised look on DH's face when on the way up main street one morning I said, we're not going on rides...We going to eat at the castle...(with Dan Murphy and Simba's Mom from this site) It was priceless.

My DH says his best momory from our first trip is Character Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine when Chip and Dale were fighting for my attention and got me up to dance with them. It's his fav picture of me ever...

Gotta love WDW....

Taking my oldest to FOLK to see the beautiful aerial ballerina and realizing it was a friend from school that she hadn't seen for several years and then getting to visit with her.

The first time I saw FOLK interpreted and realized I could understand everything.

My daughters interacting with Chip and Dale at Ft Wildernss and insisting that they had to bring Lemon Sugar Cookies to Dale.

Getting teased by one of the interpreters after I shattered my ankle (before my trip) and being told I was not allowed to fall on her watch. We still joke about it.

Not at WDW, but getting called from Tokyo Sea from my daughter while she was a CM there. She kept forgetting the time change. I didn't care.

- Walking down Main Street with DH and watching my kids run ahead with eyes wide open (they were 11 & 8).
- Watching my kids enjoyment day after day
- Being Family of the Day at Epcot
- Getting to ride in front on the monorail
- Still hearing the kids talk about that vacation!

For DH and I, it was January 2003 trip. We were chose by CM, Robin, to be the Grand Marhsall's of the Magic Kingdom parade. It was a day (and vacation) that we will never forget.
Also, January 2004 trip we walked the half marathon together and it was one of my best accomplishments!

one of the best things I experienced at Disney was the first day we got there at Mgm (it was our first family trip) we stopped to see the Stars n motor cars parade and our 3 kids had never seen any of the characters in person before and the look of joy on all three of their faces from our 11 year old down to the 3 year old was priceless. they were so excited!
