What will you be doing for NYE??

DH offered to go to work an overnight shift for another officer so he'll be working. We don't usually go out New Year's Eve anyway.
My elderly aunt died; and the wake is tomorrow afternoon; so that's where I'll be for a while; not exactly a fun evening! At least I have ice cream and chocolate!

Ditto, HugsForEeyore! I absolutely love Christmas but NYE and NY is booooorrrrrriiiinnngggg.

Usually, DH works the night shift and I stay up doing year-end books. This year, we are all home, and I'm sure we will be bored.

Hanging out with my boyfriend at home. He'll be playing video games and I'll be knitting, just another typical night for us!

DH, DS9, DS11 and I are going over my SIL's for a little shindig. There will be a total of 4 couples. Everyone is bringing some sort of snackie type dish and a board game. So we'll be playing games and eating all night. Works for me.

As far as I know, we're staying home. I've been having some chronic fatigue issues in addition to being sick, so I'd probably pass out if we tried to stay out late anywhere. We did get a bottle of sparkling white grape juice to drink at midnight. We'll probably wind up playing Pirate Life that DH got for Christmas from his parents. :)

This is the first New Year that we're spending at our home in Florida instead for heading up to our apartment in Manhattan. In NYC, we typically head downtown to dinner with friends and hit a party, depending on who's having one, but seeing that we actually have to drive this year if we want to go out, we're going to pass. There are far too many Florida drunk drivers out on NYE for this kid to deal with, and it's just not worth it when you have a toddler at home and a baby on-the-way.

DH2B and I aren't big on going out so we'll be making a big batch of enchiladas in the afternoon, having an all night marathon of either Carnivale or The Office (US version - the 2 best TV shows ever!), and just enjoying ourselves inside our cozy apartment!! I can't wait! :goodvibes

We are going to stay home, play some board games, and watch a movie. The movie will probably be The Little Mermaid, which dd got for Christmas. We'll also pig out on junk food.

Unless we have someplace to stay the whole night, we stay home on NYE. I don't like to be out driving around on NYE.

No big plans....make some food, have a drink, watch the ball drop.

Am I the only one who is still in shock that it is going to be 2007? :lmao:
I remember Y2K and the changing to the year 2000....:scared1: Remember the terror.:rotfl:

we invited some really good friends over. 2 couples who each have 2 kids that our kids get along with really well. We bought all kinds of good food, and plan on eating all night, playing some games and maybe watching a movie!

I'll probably stay home. We're invited to a friend's party, but I really don't feel like going anywhere. Plus I don't like driving on NYE...too many drunks on the road. Plus the last I heard they're calling for freezing rain/sleet.

We were invited out with family but we're just staying put tonight and having a nice lobster dinner and then watching a couple of movies.I probably won't make it til midnight but that's ok too.New Years Day we have reservations for dinner with DS and his DGF so I'm looking forward to that and also starting to dismantel the Christmas trees and all the decorations!:yay:

Happy New Year to all!

Taking the two younger kids to see an early movie, then staying home. The three older ones have plans. I'll probably be sitting here on the Dis.
