What will DL Be Like the Week of January 3rd?

I am wondering whether the park will be in a state of flux while they take down all of the holiday decorations or if they keep them up a bit beyond the new year? Thanks!

I am not sure sorry, but wanted to ask the same question about the 20th-30th.

The decorations come down at night, so you'll be there on the 3rd in full decor and then by the 6th or 7th everything will be gone.

we are headed that way that week also. short hours so do expect some maintainance things to be going on and also read they were going to be draining the river that week. so that will take away some magic. but crowds should be gone and there is never a bad time to visit disney.

Since the BCS football championship will be held on Jan 7th at the Rose Bowl, someone at Disney might decide to leave the decorations up a bit longer than usual. Maybe.

Ok I have to ask...and really being from Cali I should know this....but what is the BCS and.......maybe its just me but I thought the Rose Bowl was on January 1st??????? not the 7th?????

The BCS is the Bowl Championship Series (college football), which rotates the championship game around the 4 major football bowl stadiums. The Rose Bowl is actually the name of the stadium in Pasadena, and since they're hosting the BCS championship game it will hold two games - the "Rose Bowl Game" on January 1st, then the BCS championship game on the 7th.

I think you can count on the crowds being impacted by the Rose Bowl hosting 2 games. DL usually hosts some sort of team event and the fans follow.
