What will be open in July at the Contemporary?

Heard about all this construction at Contemporary, I remember the food court was closed when we visited in December 2007 for breakfast at Chef Mickeys. What will be open and what will be closed? Thanks a bunch for any information

We'll be at the CR too in July so I'll be interested in hearing any answers to this!!

According to the Contemporary renovation schedule on the 4th floor they will be working on Chef Mickey's Express, since it's suppost to open on August 14, 2008. Besides that they will also be working on the Kingdom Towers where the North Garden Wing building use to be, however that has no effect on your stay.

Will Concourse Steakhouse be open during the month of July? What does Chef Mickeys Express serve for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

The Concourse Steakhouse will be closed. In it's place will be The Wave, which is their new table service restaurant and is located on the 1st floor where the Food & Fun Center use to be.

Chef Mickey's Express which is the replacement for the Food & Fun Center will not be open then because it will be getting worked on during that time, since it's opening up in the Concourse Steakhouse location. So until then they will have the Tempo Grab & Go, which is a temporary replacement for the Food & Fun Center.

There is also the Sand Bar which is located by the pool and had a similar menu to the Food & Fun Center. However they only have seating outside, they are not open for breakfast and their hours varies with the pool hours.

So, the only places to eat will be Chef Mickeys and the Sand Bar.....right Doesn't sound like many options since we won't be eating much at Chef Mickeys.

In the month of July these will be the dining locations that will be open at the Contemporary.

California Grill, Chef Mickey's, The Wave, Tempo Grab & Go and the Sand Bar.

You're welcome and yes The Wave will be open in July. Just remember it's not going to be the Concourse Steakhouse in terms of having the same menu, because it's very different.
