Always camping (late teens & early 20's), Memorial Day, 4th of July, & Labor Day weekends.

We never took vacations so it was just playing outside and walking to the public pool. We went to Cedar Point a few times which was about 30 minutes away.

My parents loved to travel and went to many different places.

We drove 8 hours to DownEast Maine for two weeks every July to visit grandparents and stay at the lake.

Well, most years I went to at least one of the two summer school sessions. Usually fun classes like Judo or Photography. A vacation somewhere in there, but my mom only got 4 weeks vacation. Always amazed at my friends whose parents who had enough vacation time to drive cross country and visit family for 5 or 6 weeks.
As I got older, spent a lot of time looking for a summer job. Applied to McDonalds 50 years ago, still waiting to get called back for an interview!

Stayed home most of the time. Played with neighborhood kids
Some years a visit for a couple of weeks to my grandparents house (ID)
A few times to my father's hometown (WY) and
and a couple of trips to Disneyland

Swimming at the public pool every afternoon. I think it was mostly to give my mom a break from me & my sister.
