What WDW restaraunt won't you go back to? And why not?

We'll probably never go to the France pavilion in Epcot again. Nobody here has any interest in that food. Also the Prime Time at the studios didn't work for us. :earsboy:

Cantina in Mexico - it was 4 notches lower than Taco Bell. Canned processed cheese, unrecognizable 'beef', stale chips. Ick.

For us it is Narcossees. The soup was luke warm and undercooked, steak was OK, but not worth the rpce tag, service was poor and they tried to over sharge us. Generally a very medicore resturant that I would not visit agian.

However, I have to say that most places, if there is a problem they sort it out well and most resturants are generally good or very good.

2 restaurants come to mind quickly:
Back in 2000 my DW and I had dinner with my in-laws at the Concourse Steakhouse at the CR. The food was not bad overall but the waiter was the most pretentious, snotty little geek I have ever had to deal with. He absolutely ruined the entire meal for us. #2 would be Akershus before it was a character meal in the Norway pavillion. I just couldn't find anything on the buffet that I really liked. Maybe I'm just not cut out for Norwegian fare!

Big River Grille,
Rain Forest
Planet Hollywood.
Any of the counters run by McDonalds

Nothing against any of these per say except McDonalds which I won't set foot in. OH IN-N-OUT EXPAND EAST QUICKLY PLEASE!!!!! but we have the same here and I'd like to do something I can't do here.

CRT.
Well I can't say never because we liked it. But I won't go back at current prices. 1900 is better and it's less expensive.

Marrakesh. The only TS we truly won't go back to. Now I know why someone's out all the time trying to drum up business even though every other WS restaurant is packed.
Edit. Full Details below by request. Summary.
Bland all around. chicken severely undercooked on first go around. Looked like it had been sitting. Dry kabobs.
Bastilla Good, Crepe's Atlas great. Band good. Dancer good. Would like to see them longer. But in the end, the desert and entertainment couldn't save it.
ABC Commisary. We went early, and picture this. All the lunch rush food was out. But when we got it, it had obviously been there for 30 minutes. It was all still there when we left 30 minutes later and the lunch rush was now beginning. Feel sorry for them.

.

I try not to say vague, negative things about restaurants because everyone has their own likes and dislikes. We love Marrakesh, and every friend that we have sent there has loved it as well.

I would never go back to Boma. The food just wasn't what anyone in my family likes. We all had a hard time finding things to eat (except desert), and we really aren't picky eaters. The restaurant is nice, and service was good though.

O'Hona's because of nasty service, and Pepper Market because of food that must have taken a spin through the flavor extracter at some point along the line.

Crystal Palace. It was bad not once, not twice, but three times. Character interaction is awful and the food isn't much better. My best friend experienced the same horrid service with us and without us as well.

Teppanyaki grill - the food was very bland - but even worse, the whole party was sick that night. :sad2:

Akershus dinner - I tried it but it just wasn't me or DH's style. I guess I won't be moving to Norway anytime soon!

Brown Derby at MGM - I know this is very highly rated but I just didn't enjoy my meal. :confused3

I thought I was the ONLY one who didn't like Brown Derby! :teeth: There was nothing on the lunch menu for anyone like me who didn't want a steak and salad... The entree I had (Tofu noodle bowl) was bland and tasted EXACTLY like the frozen chinese noodly stuff meal from Buget Gourmet... :p The deserts didn't even sound appetizing.. Grapefruit cake?? :crazy2: mmmmmm mmm... I'd like some of that with orange segment pie... ;)

For us it's Hollywood & Vine. Absolutely awful!

I would also add lunch at GFC for really bad service but having been on the boards so long I've decided it was an off day because so many enjoy it. In fact, we're giving it another chance during our upcoming trip.

We will never go back to the BRG.

We have always made CRT dinner our first vacation meal upon arriving. That will change with our next trip. Yes, we gave it a try last week. The food went from very bad to very good here in recent years but they sure ruined it with this "package" deal. We, as adults, do not need our pic taken with Cindy (we refer to it as Cindy and the Four Dorks)...we don't need a lithograph...we don't need a boring fairy godmother that nobody is paying any attention to(the mice were okay, although I wish I could have gotten a pic of Perla) and why in the world would anyone translate magic into strobing white lights...migraines and seizures, oh my? C'mon Disney, you can do much better than this! Bring back the butter stamped with Cindy's coach and bring back the raspberry vinagrette salad with candied walnuts and gorganzola cheese and the to die for filet mignon and the...oh, I can't go on...I'm salivating all over the keyboard!

PS You're right on LTT "processed" food..Yuk! But the characters are great and the atmosphere was fun.

We did not like Pizza Planet at MGM; also not thrilled with Electric Umbrella. No major complaints about anything else.

I have to agree with the ealier post, it seems like I need to rethink some of my ADRs. Of the times we've been there, the only one that I didn't enjoy was the fod court at ASMo and to be honest, it was better than I expected, but still not that good. ESPN Club was nothing special, I would only go back if the Saints were playing and I wanted to watch the game, not for the food.

One other thing, a lot of people seem to be complaining about the limited time that characters visit, and that they only visit the table once per meal. I have been to several character meals, and I can't recall a character ever visiting my table more than once, and really not spending much more time than to give my daughter a hug and take some pictures. The exception being Mickey at CM, when he went on and on about how much he liked my shirt (guess who's picture was on it). Do most of you get more than one visit from the characters?

Oh no we have and ADr there for DD 6 who wants to see Aerial. I was scared when I saw the menu as it was! I've never eaten anywhere at WDW that was horrible. Worst IMO is Sci-Fi at MGM.

It wasn't that bad! :rotfl2: It's just the idea of head cheese threw us off! We just stayed away from that part of the salad bar! :lmao:

San Angel Inn- I ate there Jan '05 with my elder son and GD. We couldn't eat it. Finally my 8 y/o GD said 'this isn't Mexican food, can we go somehwere else, I'm starving, but can't eat this'. It took forever to get our bill and the waiter didn't even ask why we were leaving our plates full. This past Sept I went back with my younger son and D-I-L. My D-I-L wanted to try San Angel's despite my GD and myself telling her how bad it was. Even with the free dining I refused to waste a TS credit there, so asked for the fundido using my DDE card to get 20% discount on just it. Both the waiter and finally the manager told me I couldn't order it, because my dining partners were using the dining plan and only one discount was allowed/table. When I asked what if I had just met my family there and I didn't have the dining plan, would I be able to order with my DDE card, the manager hesitated then said that was right I wouldn't be allowed to. Finally I said just forget it and my D-I-L and I shared. Again the food was terrible and we left our plates full and went somewhere else to eat.

I also would not go back to CRT. Fair food and poor service. In Sept we had a waitress who was very verbal about not liking the dining plan and felt people were taking advantage of Disney. It made for a very uncomfortable meal. Also Aurora had missed us and when we mentioned it to our waitress, she got really snide and huffy, saying 'well afterall the princesses are for children and since you don't have children with you she probably didn't think you would mind'. Excuse me, I got up early just like everyone else to book this for my D-I-L who loves the characters (especially the Princesses).

The only time for us was last Sept at Chef Mickey's. We had one of the last seatings and the restaraunt was emptying out, so the characters spent LOTS of time with those of us that were left.

If you go for breakfast, the menu will be different. Don't count on Ariel, though. They say that the characters are 'subject to change'. When we were there 2 weeks ago, we saw Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Jasmine, Snow White and Belle.
Did you go for breakfast? They told me Mulan is only at breakfast, and DD loves her too! My friend had dinner there twice and both times Aerial was there. So hopefully she will be there when we go, especially because the food sound grose!

The only one I was not thrilled with was 1900 PF. I loved the character interaction but my group of picky eaters weren't thrilled with the buffet. If we go again it will only be to see Cinderella (and hopefully have another magical moment).
