For me it was when we stopped at a fast food restaurant for lunch on the way to the beach. There were two mothers eating lunch with their teenage daughters. Let's just say that I had a paper trail following me after I used the restroom. Instead of being polite and setting an example for their daughters, one of the mothers looked at me and started busted up laughing. It took me a couple minutes to figure out what they were laughing at. I was so embarrassed I started to cry!!:(

What was your most embarrassing moment?

These are always so hard to narrow to one, so I'll pick one that happened at WDW. The entire family was visiting EPCOT World showcase, 11 of us in total and we came upon a character greet. DD daughter asked me who the character was I announced that it was Pheobus (sp?), well he finished with the famy he was with and chased me all over the country. It took a while to catch me, he then put me in a bear hug demanding to know who he was. The whole reason behind this........it was John Smith. Needless to say everyone around had a good laugh, especially my family.

Where to start? I've had so many.

I guess the last one in recent memory is when DH and I were invited to the Inaugural Ball. We're dressed to the nines, I'm in these little black shoes that no person in their right mind should try and walk in and unbenowest to me, I come across the dreaded "black" ice. I caterpulted 3 feet in the air before I landed on my butt, ripping my hose and scaring the daylights out of everyone on the street.

Needless to say, I ripped off the hose, even though it was below zero out, and made an appearance anyway. :) I could barely walk, my leg where I had ripped the hose was throbbing, but I was running around, all disheveled, saying things like, "really, I'm fine!" :teeth:

I have a ton of these stories, Grace is not my given name.

LOL!
One that stands out was when I was at a Bruins game when I was 21. I had a few drinks in me and went to get another round for my friend and myself. I was walking back to the seats and was at the top of a flight of stairs in the arena(Boston Garden). The stairs looked wet, I was wearing boots, and I thought, I had better be careful. With that my friend thought I couldnt find her so she yelled "Katie!" and a bunch of people looked. No sooner did I slip and fall down the stairs, with the 2 beers. While it was quite embarrassing I did manage to salvage the drinks. ;)

Thank goodness!

Just kidding, hope you weren't hurt!

Boy do I have a long list of them! Let's see, do you want to hear about a public or private humiliation? OK, here is a private family one.
This happened when I was pregnant with my last child. I had just had my prenatal vitamines renewed, my husband picked them up from the pharmacy and put them up where I kept them. The next day I go to take them, and the bottle is almost empty. I am livid!!!! I round up my kids and demand to know who took them. They all say "Not me." "I didn't take them!" etc..... Now I am furious. I am yelling at them about how dangerous it is to take things like that and what are they thinking and ranting on and on. None of them would fess up. So now I make them all sit against the wall and continue on about how disappointed I am, and they will all sit there until whoever took the vitamines confess. Until that time they were all punished.
I leave the room to calm down. A few minutes later I remember what my husband said................ "The pharmacist could only give you eight days worth, they're waiting for a shipment."

As soon as I read the question, this popped into my head, so I guess it is still embarassing to me!

In college, I had a major crush on a senior (I was a lowly freshman). My girlfriends and I followed this guy and his friends from party to party, etc. but I never got the nerve to speak to him.

One day, I was walking to class, not particularly paying attention and headed thru the library. This guy was in front of me so he simply held the door for me. I freaked - and pushed him sending him flying! You had to have seen his face!

I guess it was that "fear and flight" thing.

My most embarassing moment was when Rachel got sick at Yachtsman's Steakhouse. We had a late dinner after an Illuminations Cruise. Rachel wasn't feeling well, so we let her put her head down during dinner. Gene carried her out of the restaurant, he only took a couple steps and she threw up all over the place. Over and over. I don't know how she had so much inside of her. The waiters were pulling linens off the tables and throwing them on the floor and she just kept throwing up.

But the embarassing part was that there was only one other family in the restaurant that late - and Rachel threw up on them. I took her into the bathroom to clean her up a little and the two women were in there. Just as we walked in, one of them said, "Ewwww, it's in my hair!" I wanted to sink through the floor.

...but it is, by far, my most embarrassing one.

Shortened version -- I fell off the stage into the orchestra pit during a performance of "Gypsy" at a local community theatre this past February! I was all alone on stage (Mama Rose) and it was a blackout except for the spotlight on me (so, there was no hiding what happened).

After determining I wasn't seriously hurt (just bleeding from both shins), I managed to get back up on stage, finish the song, and finish the show!

After the show, while propping my legs up with ice bags on both legs, with the entire cast around me, I called my DH to come and get me, as I didn't feel like I could drive.

When he walked backstage, his opening comment was "Well, I guess that means no sex tonight?!" ;)

I was a very shy teenager, and let's just say I blossomed early.

All kids in my high school were required to take one quarter of swimming per year. At the beginning of freshman year, everyone is tested to see what level of instruction was needed.

I can swim, so I wasn't nervous. I swam down and swam back. I got out of the pool and all of the boys were cheering. High school won't be so bad, I thought.

Then I looked down and realized that the girls had popped out of my suit and were prominently on display.

I recently had a rather embarassing moment. I was working on a video shoot as a production assistant and was given a radio and ear piece to wear. The makeup artist asked me to run downstairs and grab her compact. So of course wanting to be fast and efficent, I went flying downstairs at full speed, in the back of the restaurant there were a couple stairs leading up to where a pool table was situated and her makeup supplies. The cord from the ear piece which was also clipped to my tank top got caught around my knee and pulled down my top half way on one side. Eeeek! :o There were a tone of extras sitting around, I just pray no one saw what happened. How embarassing!

My son was about 3 or 4 years old at the time, and I was in the bathroom with a bad stomach ache (you can guess) Any way the phone rings and he answers it, and said "oh she's in the bathroom having diarrhia" and then hands me the phone. It was one of the mothers from preschool, and she was laughing.

I was so embarrassed!!!

Blacking out in the front row of the standing room only section at the Sugar Ray concert wasnt my finest moment... esp when they had to part ways so they, 2 security guards, could drag me out of there.... not to mention scaring my best friend half to death... good part was we got to sit backstage rest of the show :)
