Just wondering . . . did you shop the sales this past holiday weekend?

What BARGAIN did you get?

I went to SAVERS for their 50% OFF sale and found a VERA BRADLEY handbag with an ID coin purse (Brand New Tags still on!) for $3.00! :goodvibes

How did you do? :confused3

DH and I got a bunch of t-shirts at Old Navy for $3 each, not to bad to do stuff around the yard and house! DH also got 2 pairs of swim trunks for $6 each, I got a pair of linen capri's for $7.50 and pj shorts for $2.50. DH also got a bunch of t-shirts that are normally $15 for $6 each.

Went into TJMaxx, DD is ver particular on the type of undies she wears- only Hanna Andersson and Hanes Comfort Waist Band. TJMaxx had a Hanes 4 pack (normally 3 in a pack- cheapest on sale is $6) for $2.99. Went to Marshalls to see if they had more in the next size up so I could stock up and found Keen's for $12.99 for DD. They are the water shoe type and bright yellow which is her favorite color. Boy- was I "Mom of the Day" for finding those! :lovestruc

2 bedroom condo at Wyndham Bonnet Creek for $99 a night!

I also found some great deals at Old Navy!! Got my 6 month old son 2 pairs of flip flops for $2.50 each, a floppy sun hat for $5, swim trunks for $6.99 (that was the "splurge" of the day), and a TON of shirts for anywhere between 33 cents & $3.49!! Several were fall/winter shirts, but at least 2-3 were short sleeved!! Tax & all for about $35!!

I got a bag of Mickey head shaped beignets for $6.99! Actually, that's the regular price... but we happened to walk up when the window opened and got the first batch they made for the day. Yum. Very. Very. Yum. :goodvibes

I think I found the deal of the day for ME.

While out and about this weekend, we realized we had a birthday party to attend next weekend. I NEVER know what to get this person, so we poked around some shops in Seal Beach.

We found the cutest little store all made out in beach colors and themes. I found the prettiest bird feeder. It has a glass top with glass sunflowers and dragonflies in the design. The bottom is wrought iron lattice-work to hold in the seeds with two small openings for the seeds and a flatform for the birdies at the bottom. It was on sale for $21. I thought MAYBE I was missing a digit. Like it was $121 and the first "one" was too near the $ sign... but no, it was just $21! And the shop owner overheard it was a gift and personally wrapped it and used seashells as the ribbon.

Then, in the shop across the street, I found a gorgeous fuscia plant. I just need to find a plant hangar and I am all set. The birthday girl is off work for a stress medical leave and the weather is warming up in her town. We think it would be fun (and not stressful) for her to putter around her lovely garden with these two new additions.

Any ideas where one can find a pretty plant hanger? Is Home Depot the only place?

I can't believe I found her gifts under $50 total!

I got a bunch of silk flowers at Michael's crafts, 50% off, and then I had a 25% off coupon. I was psyched. :)

I got a skirt, a skort, and 3 tops at Fashion Bug for $40-something dollars. They were having a sale (buy one at reg price, get one for $10) and I had a $15 off coupon and somehow I got an extra $10 off. I saved $59.

I went to Justice for their 40% off sale to find they also had 40% off their "redline" items --- those items were already 40% off and you got an additional 40% off on top of that. I got my daughter some cute shorts and tops for about $30. I saved $40 (and hopefully, this will be "it" for her summer wardrobe!)

Went to the thrift store and got a DVD for $1.50 (LOL)

Saved a ton at Petco. I had B1G1 coupons for Whiskas kitten wet food and I bought my babies 30 trays (15 free). I got them 2 crinkly play toys and a "kitty sack" (it crinkles and has cat nip and they love it!) for $10. I also had a 10% off entire purchase coupon.

Old Navy!!!

50% off their already marked down clearance on mens & womens.
30% off additional off clearance priced kids.

PLUS girls swimsuits were marked to $6 and $8.

DD(12) got 2 new bikinis
DD(9) got a new bikini...was on clearnace so total was $4.80

I got to use my employee discount for the first time and got 10% of total price.
I was soooo happy:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes
Something finally was working out for me.:thumbsup2

DH found 3 pairs of Docker's for $3 each and a pair of Eddie Bauer jeans for $3. Four quality pants for $12!

But those were from a yard sale.....pretty much new condition.....I am sure that isn't the bargain you were asking for though! :lmao:

Well that makes my beignets an actual bargain! I got an order of beignets AND a large chocolate milk for $4.99 after tax at Cafe du Monde!

That's also the regular price.....and no Mickey shape :sad1: and no Disneyland :sad1:.....but my beignets were also fresh! :rotfl:

I went to the Salvation Army store today and found a hardback copy of Walt Disney by Neal Gabler.I looked on ebay and it is selling for as much as 26.00 and I paid a big 75 cents. Can't wait to find time to read it!!!!

A local grocery store was tripling $1 coupons so I got a TON of great stuff for super cheap.

You must have shopped at Marsh :thumbsup2. After two trips there on Saturday, I walked away with ~ $100 worth of merchandise for free after triple coupons :dance3:.

Another Old Navy clearancer here! I got 4 tank tops for $3.00/piece, 2 tops for $2.50/piece, 3 cotton sundresses for $6/piece and a linen dress for $9. I also got DS 3 t-shirts for about $3.00/piece, a polo for $2.49, a long sleeve shirt for $1.00 and a fleece sweatshirt for $1.50 and a gel boo-boo pack for 50 cents. I love love love old navy half off clearance sales.

I also found some cutesy little craft things in the $1 section of Target to put away for summer when boredom strikes my son.

I hit up the new Carter's store and got a bunch of nice tees for DD for $3 to $3.5 each. Some bottoms were the same.

I'm so jealous of you folks that live in areas where supermarkets do double and triple coupons...no such thing here in northern California...boo!

Yeah, I remembered that day. Last year i went with my cousin for shopping and we bargained both at the footwear showroom.

I got a belt on clearance at Target for $3.49. I had been looking for one for a long time and finally found one I liked.
