What happened today that was a high point for you?

What happened today that was a low point for you?

High point: Thumb wrestling with my ds (7) while waiting for the Allergist.

Low point: Holding him down for his allergy test (after he nearly fainted).

Karen

High point: Spending 4 hours at the park with my DM, DS, DS's, DN and DN. It was a ball!

Low point: My DS6 asking me why I'm not nice to him! LOL he gets more of my time than anyone, most days!

Michelle

High Point........at dinner my boys and I playing an ABC game naming songs. We were all laughing so hard!!:)

Low Point.......talking to my sister (long distance) and someone else beeps in and she has to go. Bummer.:(

I thought this thread was going to be about weather! To which my answer is, Low: Hot. High: Hotter!

Okay...Low today...Being told by my manager to tell some customers where the fitting room was (bothered me cause I know to do this, and I don't want her thinking I have to be told.)

High - Coming home and chilling out.

This is interesting to think about. Cause if that is my high I might want to make some changes, huh?

High point: Having dh to give me much needed hug this evening! :)

Low point: Learning that the adoption we were pretty sure about is not going to work. Birthparents(teens) decided to keep the baby. :(

Low: having sheet rock torn off my exterior living room wall and having sheet rock dust everywhere. We've had various leaks on that wall over the two years we've owned the house (brand new) and we've finally sealed up all the leaks, so it's time to fix the wall.

High: finding out that there is no rotting wood on the framing of the wall, so we can hang sheet rock tomorrow.

Low Point: Having to get up at 6AM for school :(

High Point: Posting on the DIS Universal Orlando message board :) Oh! And going shopping! :p

some background info first...
I graduated from college in May, and worked at a camp in the summer and was planning on looking for a job on my time off, which is few and far between, but towards the beginning of the summer my car broke down, never to be driven again, so I spent my time off looking for cars, I am still looking, though I think I have found one, during some of high school and college I worked in a movie theater pretty close to my house, so since I was waiting to look for a job, I wanted to wait till I had a car to get there first I decided to go back to the theater after camp was over, I can take the bus or get a ride there (which I wouldn't be able to do for most jobs related to my major) until get a car and then find a job.

High point... seeing a good friend at work today (my first day back at the theater) that I wasn't able to see a lot this summer between her working and me being at camp.

Low Point... Waiting for a call back from the people that I might be getting a car from, they knew I was going to call and didn't say they were going to be out but they have been gone all evening, I just want to finalize it all so that I know whether I will get the car or not.

High point: Following a recipe, I made my first STRAWBERRY DAIQUARI's in the blender. Just like a restaurant would make it!

Low Point: My sweet-n-sour sauce got watery waiting for DH to get home for supper.

High point: during lunch with my dear sis and a very dear friend that we grew up with, our friend told us that her mother has finally reconciled with her. (when my dear friend divorced her husb, her mother wouldn't speak to her, and all these years - 10! - the ex-son-in-law had been going to his ex-MIL's to do odd jobs, take her places -still acting like a SIL. ) The mother wouldn't accept my friend's new husband, but when my friend and her brother gave their Mom a new microwave for Christmas, my friends' husband had to go her house to install it, when ex-SIL found out - he gave his ex-MIL the "it's either them or me"
WOW! my friend & her mother are speaking & her new husband has been accepted! We're so happy for her! (She says she only wished this had happened 14 months ago - before her daughter died.)

Low point: I found ants in my kitchen & in the pantry!!

High Point: Seeing DS stop crying and start smiling when I started his mobile. He's getting really alert now. :)

Low Point: Receiving a list of possible daycares for DS. I have to go back to work some time next month and I'm not dealing with that very well. I cry every time I think about it. :(

High point - reading more of 1984 - I am really enjoying it.

Low point - I had really bad cramps for most of the day and spent the day lying in bed doubled over in pain. :( I'm fine now, thankfully.
