What was your favourite tv theme song growing up?

Okay, I'm dating myself but "Would you believe...?" Get Smart. It didn't need words but the instrumentation was so catchy. Besides the song, I also thought the opening sequence was so cool! I'm pretty sure DH would say Green Acres. :rolleyes2
LOL its one of the ones I hum all the time walking around in the office

How has nobody said Cheers yet?

i like the full version with all the verses (it was popular on the radio for a short time)-

Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you've got
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot
Wouldn't you like to get away?

All those nights when you've got no lights
The check is in the mail
And your little angel
Hung the cat up by it's tail
And your third fiance didn't show

Sometimes you wanna go
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
You wanna be where you can see (ah-ah)
Our troubles are all the same (ah-ah)
You wanna be where everybody knows your name

Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead
The morning's looking bright (the morning's looking bright)
And your shrink ran off to Europe
And didn't even write
And your husband wants to be a girl

Be glad there's one place in the world
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
You wanna go where people know
People are all the same
You wanna go where everybody knows your name

Where everybody knows your name (where everybody knows your name)
And they're always glad you came
Where everybody knows your name (where everybody knows your name)
And they're always glad you came
Where everybody knows your name (where everybody knows your name)
And they're always glad you came
Where everybody knows your name (where everybody knows your name)

as a young adult i loved 'square pegs'

Another for Cheers growing up.
I also really liked the I Carly theme watching with my kids.

Mary Tyler Moore. Also, although it didn't start out as a theme song, Stand by R.E.M. from the early 90s Get A Life, a hysterical show that only lasted 2 seasons.

All in the Family

Boy, the way Glenn Miller played
songs that made the hit parade
Guys like me we had it made
Those were the days

Didn't need no welfare state
ev'rybody pulled his weight
gee our old LaSalle ran great
Those were the days

And you knew who you were then
girls were girls and men were men
Mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again

People seemed to be content
fifty dollars paid the rent
freaks were in a circus tent
Those were the days

Take a little Sunday spin
go to watch the Dodgers win
Have yourself a dandy day
that cost you under a fin

Hair was short and skirts were long
Kate Smith really sold a song
I don't know just what went wrong
those were the days

Here's one you may not have known existed. The Bonanza theme....the one with words.....sung by Loren Greene.
