Pass the insulin!Fluffernutter, but only because we didn’t have Nutella in those days!
I remember as a kid have lunch at the neighbors with their 3 kids. As if money wasn't tight enough in the early 1960's, they had filed bankruptcy. All they could afford was sugar sandwiches, no lunch meat. At one point their mom and dad had something come up and their 3 kids came over to our house before school one morning and my mom fixed breakfast. The 3 kids were amazed because my mom........not knowing what they like......made scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes and had cereal out. They couldn't believe how much food there was. No, that wasn't our normal breakfast and we weren't rich, but my mom did believe in a hot breakfast.
