What was your favorite now closed disney resturant?

Bonfamilles!

Jolly Holidays show at top of The World!

Spoodles!

Ariel's at Beach Club!

I so wanted to try the Empress Lilly-heard they are doing a Food and Wine dinner there this year in an EL theme.

Wow! This is a fun thread to read. Luckily, none of our favs have disappeared....yet.

I miss the original chicken fingers and homemade pizza they used to serve...not the premade stuff. Maui potatos at Ohana's...even though I have the recipe.

Funny a lot of people mention the Concourse Steakhouse....never remember this one talked about a lot on here to warrant trying it. Maybe it was a secret fav no one really discussed!

Seasons and Reflections at the old Disney Institute.
Season's Dining Room had an ever changing menu with fresh ingredients with rotating or new Chefs. It had Four Separate Dining Rooms each decorated in a "different season".

Reflections was a quick stop Coffee,Sandwich,Ice Cream Spot. Used to pull up in your golfcart or walk/drive over depending on where you were staying.

Also used to love Harry's Safari Grille with the Big Stuffed Gorilla at your table at the Dolphin. Best Stuffed Mushrooms and a frequently Run Stuffed Lobster Special
to die for.

Juan and Only's for Drinks and Apps. Although maybe not for it's food,it was ahead of it's time for Tequila Selections.

Spoodles, though I hadn't really eaten at a lot of the places that have closed.

Fireworks Factory and Bomfamilles. We only ate at each once and still miss them. Each one closed before our next annual trip and we were so disappointed.

I remember every summer having a great cheese steak and a drink with a paper straw at a pool side snack shack/arcade at the poly. I am sure it was just a simple cheese steak sub but it is a memory that has stuck with me for more than thirty years.

I miss the Winnie the Pooh character breakfast at Artist Point and Tusker House when it just served yummy CS food :sad1:

Beaver Tails!
I know it wasn't a restaurant but who said Beaver Tails? Had to dig back a bit for this one. :thumbsup2

Add me to the list of people that miss the Concourse Steakhouse. The steak there was outstanding!!

There was an amazing character meal at the Disney Playhouse location many years ago. The food was bleh but the characters were great. I have pictures of DS with Aladdin, Belle, John Smith, Pocahontas, Phoebus, Meeko, the Hunchback and so on. I wish that they still had a character meal with such an interesting assortment.

Beaver Tails definitely.

And Tusker House as a counter service, but back when AK first opened. They served prime rib with green beans and mashed potato. It was great for a counter service meal.

Thrilled to see the Fireworks Factory brought up! I thought we were the only ones who remember the place. Really good food (REAL fried onion rings! No one has these anymore anyWHERE!) and really fun atmosphere. :D

I also miss the Gourmet Pantry, Alfredo's and Ariels at the Beach Club.

Yes, the Soundstage. That was a fun meal. Really large room.

No one else remembers Bonfamilles? :confused3

Yep, we used to go to Port Orleans twice a year and always ate there.

We also really miss the Fireworks Factory at Pleasure Island and the old Town Square restaurant sponsored by Hormel when it had barbecued ribs, pork chops, cornbread and those delicious Disney Beans!

Minnie Mia's Pizzeria at Disney Village was also a must-do for every trip. Spaghetti or pizza, both on a paper plate!

Le Cellier, as well as Hollywood and Vine at DHS, used to be a cafeteria style place that we usually hit for lunch.

I miss the Food and Fun Center at the Contemporary!! They had the best chef salad ever with plain iceburg lettuce (not all that purple, twiggy lettuce), the best soup and chili and the best chicken fingers!!

So many! My top one would probably be the Top of the World Sunday Brunch.
But in addition-
1. The Empress Lily character breakfast
2. Bonfamile's
3. Pure and Simple at Wonders of Life
4. The French bakery when WS opened at 9:00. We loved breakfast there.
5. The Melvin the Moose character breakfast at FW
6. CRT before lunchtime characters
7. Minnie Menehune character breakfast

Wow. There are a few I miss. Papeete Bay Verandah and the Tangaroo Terrace at the Poly. The Pueblo Room at the Contemporary (prime rib, yum). Empress Lily at DTD. anyone remember the Baton Rouge Lounge on the Empress Lily?
