This year we saw many celebrities behaving badly. There was Kanye West showing his true colors at the VMA's. Lindsay Lohan at... well anymore. Chris Brown not only wears a wife beater, but is one. Jon and Kate. David Letterman's late night escapades. Tiger Woods and his (what are they up to now, about 50) mistresses. Charlie Sheen, who may just be 1/2 a man. The list goes on...

For me, I enjoyed the Carrie Prejean meltdown best. She is the Miss California USA winner who started a firestorm by saying that she was against gay marriage. Okay, putting aside her Neanderthal views on the subject, she turned into the gift that keeps on giving. This beauty contestant who rallied around her "moral Christian values" (no offense to actual moral Christians) was caught in a nude photo scandal. Her defense was that she was only seventeen and had a lapse in judgement. It turned out that she was over eighteen and in fact had many lapses in judgement, as there were dozens of photos. As a result of the photos, she was stripped of her Miss California title. As it turns out, this was not the only time she was stripped. She had also stripped for some racy sex tapes that she had been sending to a boyfriend. Again, she tried the under seventeen/lapse of judgement defense. Of course, this defense also proved futile when it was discovered that she was twenty when the video was made and had eight lapses of judgement where she personally filmed herself in various sex acts. She topped off her year by appearing on the Larry King Show and accusing him of being "inappropriate".

Bravo to you Miss Prejean for being my personal favorite celebrity meltdown of 2009!

I agree - especially if I'm choosing from that list.

Kanye - boorish cad.
Lindsay Lohan - addict.
Chris Brown - criminal.
Tiger Woods and David Letterman - also boorish cads, with children involved. (I have to say, though - even with their meltdowns this year, I was and still am a huge fan of both!)
Jon and Kate - just don't know how this can get any worse, but I'm dying to see what happens to them in the next year. And I'm totally Team Kate, btw.
Charlie Sheen - drunkenly threatening your wife with a knife? Nice.

Yep, Carrie is the whole package. Dumb, hypocritical, opportunistic, etc. etc. And that's WITHOUT her personal views, with which I happen to disagree strongly.:goodvibes

Christian Bale's rant was classic and very amusing..

"Oh, good for you!".. Something I quote very often.:lmao:

Oh there were several good quotes from that meltdown...

"I'm trying to ------- do a scene here!!! - Very Shakespearean

"You're a nice guy. You're a nice guy, but that don't ------- cut it..." - like something straight out of the Godfather.

This meltdown might possibly have been Christian Bale's greatest performance as an actor. James Lipton should have him on to discuss what preparations were needed for this performance.

A few more that should be in the running for this year's top prize...

Joaquin Phoenix - After rave reviews for his portrayal of Johnny Cash, Mr. Phoenix went off the deep end. He grew a strange bushy beard and appeared on David Letterman to announce that he was becoming a hip-hop artist while sticking his chewed gum under Dave's desk.

Serena Williams - She pulled a John McEnroe and told a line ref where she was going to stick a tennis ball down.

Speidi (Heidi and Spencer) - They are in constant meltdown mode. They appeared on "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here", where they acted like obnoxious, spoiled brats, all the while discovering religion. They quit several times and were finally barred from returning. Heidi's new found religion led her to be baptized by Stephen Baldwin, just before appearing in a playboy layout.

That's my choice.

Probably Tiger because he had more to lose.

By the way, I am no fan of Kanye for sure, and am totally team Taylor.

HOWEVER..... he knew exactly what he was doing and it wasn't about Beyonce OR Taylor. It was about Kanye.

Was anyone talking about Kanye before that happened? Are they now?

Trust me, his sales went up.

Tiger lost the most and was very entertaining.

Christian Bale's was good though.
