Did you ever hear of a horse book series called Golden Filly? It was a Christian horse book series that debuted in 1990 and tells the story of a girl who's about to achieve her dream of winning her first race as a jockey but then her father gets cancer the girl's dream is hard for her to do. After Golden Filly ended the author Lauraine Snelling created High Hurdles which is a series about a girl wanting to be on the Olympic showjumping team but has to work at a riding school where the girl also takes lessons at. I didn't know that High Hurdles existed until my mom bought the series at a thrift shop and I enjoyed High Hurdles a lot so much that I checked out Golden Filly and I adored that series a lot. If you go to Amazon they have both the High Hurdles and Golden Filly books in single volumes and Lauraine Snelling is also a writer of Christian romance novels too

Another horse book series that I read and liked was a horse book series based in England called Sandy Lane Stables and each book talks about the characters who ride at Sandy Lane Stables and go on riding adventures with their horses. I believe the Sandy Lane Stables series is still being made but are worth checking out when you find them. Another series I really also liked was a series called Dolphin Diaries that was made in the 2000's that told about a girl named Jody and how her family studies dolphins during a research trip around the world. This series was my favorite because I also love dolphins

Well.....I didn't grow up in the 80's and 90's, I was grown and had 2 kids, so none of those were for me.
I was (and am) a James Patterson (several series fan) then.....and now

Was The Boxcar Children that series about orphans that lived in a train boxcar until their uncle took them in? I had never heard of that series until the 90's and I think Scholastic brought them back in print because they were a series from 1901 or the 1920's and then they made all new 90's stories and a few super specials were added later. I also liked for a short time Lemony Snicket books and I have three of them. I am now into the Percy Jackson books and also like the The Frog Princess series by E.D. Baker

Dodger, I enjoy as an adult some of the Boxcar books. The Alden children temporarily do live in an abandoned boxcar until their kind grandfather Alden gives them a home with him. My own grandparents were such blessings in my life. It's always touching for me to read about or see on TV or in movies positive grandparents.
