I made an offer for a resale contract on Friday, and I still have not heard from Lee Reid, despite 2 phone calls asking about the status. I did get his 1st confirmation, via e-mail, that he received my offer Friday afternoon (after I called him and left a message trying to figure out if he has received my offer).

I am curious what your expierence was when you dealt with this broker. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I had the same experience. Made an offer for any of three contracts he had on the site. Never heard back. Looked else where and got 150 BWV pts via TUG @ $62/pt. That agent did the deal in one day. Waiting for Disney at this point.

One note - I would not use him for selling a timeshare. The three contracts I put a bid in for 2-3 weeks ago are still up for sale on his site.

DaveO,

Now you made me feel a little better. My offer was the full asking price and I feel, as least for a little professional curtesy, he should have given me a call or at least an e-mail to let me know the status.

I remember seeing a thread here in May from someone else who did not seem particularly happy with his transaction with Lee, but I somehow cannot find it anymore.

Thanks

ok.. found it ;)

But can we buy thru them ? Do they have brokers ?

Thanks in advance

I was probably my post that you saw. We are currently waiting to close on a VWL resale via Lee Reid. There was a problem with the points that were currently available and what was advertised. It was not a make or break on the sale, and Lee did rectify for us. He is usually very quick in returning emails and phone calls. When we made an offer on the contract (end of Mar.) is was a Sunday night, he returned email that evening. We negotiated with 2 emailing the next day, and by noon agreed on price and terms with the seller. We have not been able to close yet on the contract, and the closing date was May 13th! I have been told by Lee and the closing company that this is just an estimate, but this seems a little excessive! I am not thrilled on the time this is taking, but if Lee had another contract that I was interested in, we would go through him again. (I would not do it though, if I was in a hurry!!) Good Luck!

We had a decent experience with Lee Reid. He is not as 'hands on' as other agents and may not contact you as often or keep you in the loop like some others, but he was responsive and our resale went thru with no problems and in the same amount of time as another resale we purchased from another agent.

Thanks all for your reply. Lee actually sent me several e-mails between last night and this morning. Maybe I should be a little more patient. I guess he did not get back to me because he did not hear back from the seller after multiple attempts. Anyway, I hope this sale will go through, otherwise, I will have to look else where. Thanks again.

luckytso,

Maybe Lee Reid was reading the DIS:( and seen his name mentioned:rolleyes: , and then he decided to get back to you.

I can tell you that I've sent him a few emails for informations and also to make 2 offers and he always answered very quickly... even on sunday when I didn't expect an answer .

ncligs,

I think that may be what happened. However, I thought about this before I posted the initial message because I figured if he did see my e-mail, I will probably get a response, plus I will get the responses from fellow DVCers, before I go any further.

Anyway, I am glad that he promptly got back to me several times today and I think he is making an effort.

However, I withdrew my offer today since he still has not heard back from the seller and got a BWV resale via Jackie. I hope this one will be moving forward quickly. Thanks to you all again.
