What was your airfare from BDL to MCO Thanksgiving time?

We are planning on going the day after Thanksgiving and returning the 1st of December 2007. Just curious what you paid for airfare during this time this year. We usually travel SW so I know that I have a while before they release their dates, let alone catching a ding!

In past years, I've never paid more than $99 each way on SW from BDL. This year I didn't see anything less that $147 each way for about that time of year. Who knows what it will be in '07.

We travelled on Thanksgiving Day, via SW, from PHL to MCO for $59. I think there were similar fares from BDL. It wasn't a DING, it was an "internet sale" price. We came home the following Tues for the same price. I could have stayed longer and paid less to return but ds had to get back to school.

We thought about taking the 6-ish flight and doing an early family dinner but decided to celebrate Turkey Day with the family the Sunday before.

I have been lucky the last 3 trips we have taken on SW have been for approx. $450 for the 4 of us. I got a ding last May for our cruise $44 & $49 each way and had $49 fares the time before that and b1g1f the time before that. I'm hoping to be under $200 pp. But what ever it is it is.

We are trying to have my DB and his family fly with us, they usually drive. But if it is too pricey they will not be joining us. I'll keep my fingers crossed that my travel dates aren't too popular.

I'm also getting anxious to see what Delta is like for 11/23-12/1 as the return flight is not available yet. The Friday before Thanksgiving returning on Saturday is almost $800 pp.

riaesq, thanks for the info on Thanksgiving Day travel on SW. I would travel that day if it meant saving $$$, especially to be able to stay a extra day.
