Pent the day at the parks and was amazed by all the security guards and dogs in the park I know it's 9/11 but I have never even seen a armed security person in the park and thought it was weird.

My husband works in security in Las Vegas. Most major public places were taking extra security measures today just as a precaution. And I think a lot of places had a more visible show of force today for peace of mind for the visitors. Still such a nerve wracking day for many!

How were the crowds and what not? Everytime I called Otto something was closed.

Crowds were higher than what I normally see this time of the year and rides were closed generally just for a small amount of time. It was just weird.

Almost makes you wonder if they really ramped up the undercover security staff.

Could simply be 9/11 or there could be some big-time VIPs on property. I have been in the parks several times with not only extra DL security moving around but, lots of police officers(in uniforms and in BDUs) standing off to the sides watching people. Who was there? I didn't know and I didn't ask. Just another day in the parks folks.:cool1:
