What was the most stressful part of christmas this year?

No stress this year! First Christmas in the last 45 years I wasn't working~

Getting a text from our daughter saying she was at the Christmas Market in Magdeburg, Germany and a car had just driven into a group of people. 20 minutes later, she texted that she was safely back at her apartment. But that was a long 20 minutes. And it was hours before the scope of what happened became known.

Oh I read that on the news and it's absolutely crazy! Glad your daughter is safe and sound! There were way too many people injured and the few people that are now resting in love....my goodness...my heart ache for them and their families/friends...

The decoration! I always start decorating right after Halloween, but this year we were traveling and didn't home until almsot mid November. Then due to family member staying with us until almost Thanksgiving and she needed the living room space for packing (multiple suitcases), I couldn't even put up my tree! So right after she left, I was racing time trying to get the tree up with all the obligations and social events we had on the weekends. Glad it got done but I didn't have the energy to do the full decorations around our home this year. Note to self that, in the future I need to plan better if we are traveling around the same time frame again!

I thought I was doing good. I had wrapped/bagged all gifts, put them in one of those plastic tubs and took it to my son's a few days earlier. No need to remember gifts or see if I had forgotten anybody on Christmas morning. Christmas Eve-went to Costco to get some stuff, then to Walmart. Me and my two daughters were loading up the car when I dropped the pumpkin pie in the parking lot upside down. So....back into Costco. The cashier asked me if I picked it up to bring back, I said no. His manager standing there told me that usually if that happens, to scoop it up and they'd give me a free one so he gave it free to me anyway. Oldest daughter wanted to go to the casino for a 4 course dinner that I had a $50 credit. It was really good but, at 3am I was sick, 4am and again at 6am. I fell asleep on the sofa sometime after we ate at my son's house. All in all, it was a really good day. A little more than 3 hours of sleep would have been good but I made it. Tomorrow I have to go back to that casino to pick up Snoop Dog tickets for my son and his gf.

Not telling anyone I may lose my job early next year as place I work isn't taking enough money. I really want to scream "I might lose my job, what do I do?" but won't as will really put a dampener on things.
