Doing the DDP for the first time in Feb. I have been reading so many confliciting reports on each reseraunt that I am starting to think that whether you like a resteraunt depends on which meal you order there... SO I was wondering what was the best thing you ordered and where were you???:)

Le Cellier in Canada!

Awesome from appetizer to dessert! The servers were so friendly and the food was amazing.

One of the best meals we had was at The Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. Three members of our party of 8 ordered The Tri-Corner Sandwich which is a delicious roast beef sandwich. All 3 of us raved about how wonderful this sandwich was. In fact, when my parents went back in October, they returned there just to get the sandwich and were just as happy the 2nd time around. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.

Our favorite 1TS credit meal was LeCellier. We had the mussels which were to die for and we liked it much better than the cheese soup we tried the year before. For our entree, DH and I both had the mushroom filet which was delicious, as always. One member of our party had the BBQ filet which DH tasted. He said it was good, but not as good as the mushroom filet.

When my sister and her husband were planning their trip, I suggested a visit to LeCellier. My BIL is a big meat eater so I knew he would enjoy it. When they came back, he actually thanked me for recommending it.

Our favorite 2TS credit meal is a toss-up. We liked both Narcoossee's and Flying Fish. At Narcoosee's we like the surf and turf and I think we ordered the crab cakes, but I can't remember. I wasn't wild about my dessert. However, they had a specialty drink there made like a martini, but which had a base of pureed strawberries. It was wonderful and if I had known I wouldn't be able to find it anywhere else, I probably would have had more than one. ;) But we also like Narcoossee's for the view of Wishes and the Electric Water Parade. It has a wonderful view and it is nice to see Wishes without having to fight the crowd.

We had the grilled shrimp appetizer at Flying Fish which DH liked more than me, but I thought was fine. For our entree, we had the potato wrapped snapper and we both loved it. But their white chocolate mousse dessert was the best dessert we had all week. I would go back for that if I didn't have dinner.

We didn't eat there on the dining plan, but I would also vote for Le Cellier. We spent way more than you pay for the Dining Plan for a whole day, much less one meal! Got to have the cheddar cheese soup. SOOOOO tasty! :cloud9:

When we went in December we were most pleased with our meal at Spoodles. The Lemon chicken was delicious! As for CS, we loved the salmon at Tusker House. Though not wild -caught, it was seasoned very well and the green beans were delightfully crispy. Much more than we ever expected from counter service fish!!!

The best meal I had on DDP was at Wolfgang Puck Cafe. I had the Barbeque Chicken Quesadilla for appetizer the Filet Mignon with Pepperorn Sauce/potatoes/spinach/onion straws. The filet was perfectly cooked and so juicy. For dessert I had the carrot cake. Really enjoyed the dinner at the Concourse Steak House too (Onion Rings, Filet Mignon and Butterfinger Cheesecake). I don't order Filet Mignon out at home, because it costs too much so I make sure to order it on DDP.

I'll have to try Le Cellier since I heard so much about it.

Aug '06 its a toss-up, I could not choose between Le Cellier and Wolfgang Puck Cafe.

Nov '06 I'd have to give it to Spoodles. In fact, I'd say we received the absolute best service ever during our meal at Spoodles. Nothing against some of the servers we've had over the years. However, they just went the extra mile all around at Spoodles on the evening we were there.

IMHO, the food at all 3 of these establishments is superior.

Le Cellier - our #1 favorite! From the minute we walked in, we loved it. The hostesses played Disney 20 questions with us while we were waiting. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. The food was to die for (especially that cheese soup). The pretzel bread was so good that my 11 year old wanted to have it for every meal after that! Even if I wasn't on the DDP, I would go there and pay OOP for that meal again!!!!!:)

total fav's:
Wolfgang Puck & Spoodles ~ anything at either would be excellent.

Boma is awesome, too :)

Best one-credit: Crab Cake Bites, Sirloin Steak with Bleu cheese and portabellas, Chocolate Lava Cake, blackberry lemonade;
Best two-credit: Heirloom tomato stack, buffalo steak, oh shoot I forget what dessert, and the wine pairings (not included on the DDP).

Oh, you meant where? Turf Club and Artist Point, respectively :teeth:

Every trip Le Cellier is both a must, and our favorite meal. However, on DDP, I have to also put in a plug for the Capt. Jack's twin lobster tails for one TS as a great value. Not that it compares for food or atmosphere...but it's a great value.

at Beach Club!! The clam bake--it was wonderful--when we went I was a little skeptical because I don't like clams but they had SO many choices!!! And by the way--I like clams now--or should I say-I like their clams now-haha!!

I enjoyed our meal-but didn't experience the spectacular food & sevice that is raved about on the dis. Don't get me wrong, the food was great but not mind blowing and the service was definitely lacking. I didn't really care for the cheese soup either (the mussels rocked though!)

Our meal at Kona Cafe was our favorite. The food was mind blowing, the service was stellar and they were very accomodating (we showed up with a party of ten with an ADR for 5-they took us no problem). Becuase there were so many of us I was able to sample many of the dishes. I thought they were all incredible. I personally liked the shrimp & scallops, filet and coconut almond chicken the best. The mahi mahi, prime rib, & noodles were all delicious too.
the crab cakes & stickey wings were really good too.
The server was nice enough to bring out ice cream sundaes for all of the kids (even the ones who ordered the healthy choice that came with fruit dessert) because she thought there may be hurt feelings if some had ice cream and others didn't (she earned a very nice tip!)

My favorite meal on the DDP was Le Cellier. I had the shrimp cocktail, the filet w/ mash. pot. (lunch), and the dessert sampler (not available now, I think, had sorbet, cake, and creme brule). We also tried the cheese sampler with one of the kid's appetizer "credits."

Just a very, very good meal over all.

Second fav was Crystal palace for a late breakfast seating.

Least fav (BY FAR, out of 6 TS meals) was Sci Fi. Food was just ok, a little dry, and it was hard to deal with little kids and their food in the car seating.

Have a great trip.

TS: MARRAKESH RESTAURANT

I had: Jasmina Salad, Mediterranean Seafood Platter, and Moroccan Symphony.

Best CS: Kringla Bakeri og Cafe or Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. Cosmic Rays because it was just me and the DD :thumbsup2

Definitely dinner at Ohana at the Poly! Food was great, service was great.

We were at both last month (twice each) with a party of 13 and everything everyone ordered was delicious. At Spoodles, garlic shrimp and four cheese flatbread for appetizers, Fettuccini Alfredo & Oak Fired New York Strip for entrees and ice cream sundae's for dessert were hubby and my favorites. Raglan Road, Drunk Chicken & Goats Town for apps, Fish & Chips and Serious Sirloin for entrees, and by FAR the dessert sampler shared by 2 for dessert. At both place, others in our party tried different items and loved them just as much. Happy planning.:cool1:

Without a doubt Kona Cafe at the Polynesian! Boma at the AKL was our second favorite!
