What was offered Oct 1st that was exclusive to Oct 1?

I've watched some videos, but dont see any special events exclusive to the special day, so wondering what I've missed! Were there any special shows? Did Chapek address the crowds? I heard Christuna Aguilera was going to sing but only saw some prerecorded song from a day or two before. Did she perform Oct 1 as well?

Unfortunately, there were no live performances or presentations. The dignitaries spoke the evening of Sept 30… because that makes sense, right???

Mickey and the gang of characters did a 3-minute song and dance on stage in front of the castle at 7:55am on Oct 1.
Otherwise, it was some exclusive shirts, mugs, popcorn buckets, magic bands, etc…

Oh… one small touch was every guest got free photo pass for the day.

Compared to previous anniversaries, that seems really disappointing.
I wasn't there and wasn't planning to attend. However, I did expect some special entertainment, merch, shows, fireworks, something special for just that day.
When EPCOT turned 35, they had :
Celebrate Epcot’s 35th October 1 With Exclusive Merchandise, Special Fireworks Finale & More

and they couldn't do that for WDW's 50th because . . .

Special park maps, I believe. Atleast Oct 1st's was pretty, Oct 2 was normal.
A castle poster, I am thinking its 11x17-?
Nothing special occured, it was a bit disappointing.

Yes, Oct 1st at MK map was special. All 4 parks did get new maps for the 50th though
