We are starting to really think about making different reservations for dining and activities for our honeymoon. What were some really fun and memorable things you guys did to give us some ideas?

We booked a Wishes Fireworks Cruise. We met our driver and boat at the Contemporary after dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse, he took us for a trip around the Seven Seas Lagoon, by the Poly, WP and Grand Floridian, then parked us right in front of the Magic Kingdom for a perfect view of the fireworks with music piped in from the speakers on the boat. no crowds, no bad viewing spots, very relaxing & romantic. Price was $250 (snacks, chips, soda & water were provided). We could have up to 10 people but it was us & my bestfriend & her b/f. The boats have very comfy seats almost like a couch.

*forgot to add that we saw the Electrical Water Parade while we were on the boat*

We had a couples massage at the Grand Floridian Spa the day after the wedding. It was so relaxing, we floated out of there.

My DF was reading over my shoulder and when he saw the topic line he said "Is that really an appropriate question?!" :lmao: Why are boys always so dirty minded?!

I have no idea, but I'm sure my DF would probably say the same thing...boys

Thanks for all this so far ladies. A massage is really sounding good. Which would be better...Saratoga Springs Spa or Grand Floridian?

sad to say i read the topic and say gee...
but....we got married on Friday did a short disneymoon until wed when we left the country...(guest where still around ...so our days where spent with them)...but we did ditch them one night got room service and champagne...We still laugh that our favorite night at GF was spent eating chicken fingers ...

Okay, title has been edited. We've got to do more than  for our honeymoon

Our most memorable meal was a place we had never tried before--Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. We are somewhat picky eaters, so places like Victoria & Albert's didn't really appeal to us. Plus, we wanted an upscale, but still relaxed, meal.

We had such a fantastic meal there, and our service was outstanding as well. Both of our meals were delicious, and they have been every time we've returned since. The dining area is very pretty too. Plus, most men would like the menu since it features a wide variety of meats, LOL. The berry cobbler they serve for dessert is my absolute favorite dessert anytime, anywhere. Here's the menu so you can check it out: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_ap.htm

we volunteered at catastrophe canyon at mgm in the preshow together which was alot of fun & fun photos. we also did a couples massage the afternoon after our wedding at the mandara spa at the swan that was so relaxing & romantic. i completely recommend this!

Take the time to sit on a bench and take it all in. One of our best nights was spent in the room with wine and cheese on the balcony.....watching the fireworks! Also a walk around the lagoon between The Poly and The GF is so nice at night. Daytime was for running around and doing it all and at night it was slow going holding hands taking in the sounds and smells of A DISNEYMOON.

Okay, don't gasp with disbelief, but can anyone reccomend things outside of WDW as well?

I've seen where some couples take a dolphin exploration tour while swimming with dolphins. Where can I do that?

How about any super romantic places to take our 4-hour limo service to?

I've never had a massage inside WDW and I've never been on one of the cruises so I'll definitely check those out. What about tours? We know a lot about all of the parks, but it there just an awesome must see tour we should try?

As DVC members we've been to WDW a lot, but we've never done the really expensive things so we want to go all out for the honeymoon.

I'm not sure where outside Disney that you could do the dolphin-swimming, but have you looked into one of the behind-the-scenes tour thingys at Disney? I think that there's one for scuba--even if you're not certified--at the Living Seas, and I think that there's also some water-related activities (I think with sharks) at Typhoon Lagoon. Sea World, I'm sure, would have other things like that too. :) Something else to do would be to go horseback riding--I know that Disney does it (I think at Fort Wilderness, but I could be wrong)--and I've been trying to convince DF that on our trip we should go for a ride through the woods. :)

We went to WDDMR the night of our wedding. It was great fun! When they found out we were just married that morning they kept stopping the show and saying things to us like "WHY are you HERE???" :rotfl2: "This morning?????" :lmao: "Why aren't you back at your room??" :rotfl: It was hysterically funny and we had a blast! We chose to go there the night of our wedding because it is our favorite show. It was a great choice!

What is WDDMR?

We enjoyed having breakfast in the Castle at Cinderella's Royal Table. They gave us a Magical Moments Certificate and champagne flutes!

We also enjoyed having dinner one night at Fulton's Crab House, then we walked around DTD and later had desert at Ghirardelli's.

Take a look into Discovery Cove (www.discoverycove.com) for the dolphin swim. We had an amazing day on our engagement trip. The whole place looks like a tropical island. They have a huge reef to explore, a long lazy river and aviaries. Of course there's the 30 minute dolphin interaction - you do tricks, learn some facts and the best part is having the dolphin pull you through the water. You get an all day "pass" and your dolphin time is based on first come, first serve. You also get a meal with some really good food. The dolphin interaction package can be pricey, but it is so worth it. It was a highlight of our trip. It's a very romantic, relaxing time - I think it would be perfect for a honeymoon.

We're going to Discovery Cove for a day... it's a part of Sea World (but I'm pretty sure it's in an entirely different place altogether). It's a little pricey, but everyone I know that has gone has said it's totally worth it. I think it's like $250 a person for the day. It's a big park with a beach, different pools with rays and tropical fish that you can swim with, an aviary where the birds will eat out of your hand... and we get to swim with dolphins for 30 minutes. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks are provided (that's something new they added this year) and we get 7 days at Sea World included! FH looooves fish and dolphins, so he can't wait. :-D It'll be a nice little break during our two week trip... :woohoo: :Pinkbounc

Of course, I can't wait for the *other* activities too... hehe :cloud9:

When I lived in Orlando, before we got married, one of the things we really enjoyed was exploring the Gaylord Palms Resort. It is very romantic, just walking around the different areas. It is themed after different places in Florida, like the Keys, St. Augustine, South Beach, etc. We were both amazed at how romantic it is! They have a spa too and the restaurants are wonderful. It's a great place to explore.
If you like to shop, try the Mall at Millenia. It's huge!
Also, for a fun night out, Universal City Walk is good. Check out the Hard Rock (and the House of Blues at DTD) website to see if there are any concerts you would enjoy while you're there. There are some cool clubs at City Walk, just something different than PI or Boardwalk.
Sea World is nice, and for me it doesn't take up a whole day, so you can do something else in the afternoon or evening.
You can swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove Orlando http://www.discoverycove.com/default2.aspx They take advance reservations and limit the number of people each day. I haven't tried it yet but plan to some day.

Our favorite thing . . . well you know besides all that  . . . was to have breakfast on our balcony in the morning, either room service, or get something to go, and wine and dessert out there in the evening. It was so relaxing and it gave us time to just be together without all the hustle and bustle of the parks and other people. We also went on a cruise after our Disneymoon and that was incredible!
