What views do you get in a Poly standard dvc studio?

Headed to Disney in December and have a standard view room in a dvc studio booked. I understand there are three buildings and was told to put in my requests. What building has the best standard views? How far are they from the GCH and TTC? Like looking at the monorails but think one of the buildings is next to a parking lot and don't think that would be good.

I highly recommend checking out the room views on Touring Plans - you can see the view from every single standard view studio, as well as where they are located!

Moorea and Pago Pago will put you closer to the TTC, Tokelau is closer to the GCH.
One side of Pago Pago overlooks the parking lot, as do a few rooms towards the end of Moorea.
There's also a few rooms towards the end of Tokelau that could have partial theme park views!

I guess it depends what you want to be closer to, and if you want to try for a nicer view!

I've never stayed in the studios but those 3 dvc buildings all are closest to the TTC of anywhere on the poly property. I put your standard studio room type in TP and it pulled these rooms as top picks, all were the Tokelau building. Are they really the best views??? I have no idea but as PP mentioned, TP has some nice pics with room views. If it were me, I would probably stay away from Pago Pago since you're right, you could end up with a parking lot view whereas the other two buildings are more likely to afford you landscape/garden/walkway views.

When I stay at Poly, it's usually DVC standard view; therefore, I'm usually put in Pago Pago and sometimes parking lot view. I don't care about the view because I'm not in the room much.

In all the years I have subscribed to TP, I never knew they show top pocks for the rooms. I click on what type then go through room by room on upper floors. Where the heck does it show top picks. Thank you sooo much!

We did 1 night in Pago Pago last fall and had a lovely view of trees at ground level on the building's backside.

Not a resort that appealed to us, so we'll leave it to those of you who enjoy Poly.

So after you put in the room type/category that you booked, just select search/show matching rooms and at the bottom of the map area, there is a table with several top picks that TP recommends. I believe it's based on user feedback, walk to lobby/transport and number of photos.

We always request 2nd or 3rd Floor Tokelau, NW facing. We have always gotten really lucky with a nice view of the pool area and then Seven Seas Lagoon to the side.

THANK YOU!

We were in Pago Pago on the third floor overlooking the parking lot. I don't recommend this view. I had requested the 3rd floor of Tokelau.

I am told that third floor Tokelau is the most common request, with those 6 particular rooms being very common specific requests.

Not shockingly, most people don't get them.

I've only gotten the really romantic Pago Pago ground floor parking lot view. The ice machine is close, LOL.

Makes sense. Next time I'm just going to request the Tokelau building. Pago Pago was a pain in the butt since we were at the opposite end of the floor from the elevator. The walk to the TTC was easy, but it would still be easy from Tokelau.

Actually, one side of Moorea is considered "Lake View" and the other side is "Standard View" facing the gardens. Just wanted to clarify.

OP: Tokelau is the most requested building for Standard View, especially the 3rd floor end rooms that give you a partial theme park view. Because there are only a few of them, if you request that and get bumped, you can end up with a "monorail view" at Pago Pago. A friend of mine drops himself out of the competition and requests 3rd floor Moorea, and he has gotten it every time for the last few stays he had. This, only because his priority is to NOT have a "monorail view" and he doesn't care so much about the "theme park view".

We did our first Poly stay last week, and were also in Pago Pago. But we had the luxurious 3rd floor parking lot view. Loved it though, we were on the far end from the ice machine and elevator, but mere steps away from the path to TTC, which is what we liked.
