I'm looking to take a video camera to record our Honeymoon in September. I haven't owned one of these for a LONG time so I'm not sure what would be the best for me?

I want something that is small and light and is easily stored when we're walking around the parks. I want a good quality video but I don't want to pay the Earth for it! I've seen a couple for around the £150 - £200 mark but I don't want to just buy one because it is cheap, I want to know it will be worth it!

Any help would be great and if you need me to provide more information in order for you to help, just let me know :thumbsup2

The best video camera these days may be a mirrorless compact system camera. Some of the Olympus Pen models and Panasonic GF models could be in your price range. These are good still photo cameras since that is their main purpose but the mirrorless design makes them good video cameras as well.

I own a Olympus Pen E-PM2 & it is terrific - but as it's a CSC it is big (not as big as a DSLR). I also have a GoPro Hero 3 which I use as a video camera for the parks. The GoPro Hero 3 comes with a waterproof housing, to protect it from the wet rides & you can take photo's too - there are lots of optional extra's (such a lcd touch screen & lots of different mounts, etc). I see you asked in £'s, I'm guessing you're in the UK - if you want to look at GoPro prices, you can buy them in Argos (depending on which model you like they range from £100-£370, they also have reviews on the Argos website)

For versatility in the parks, we use the Canon Vixia G20. It's on the more expensive side ($600-$700), but it gets great quality video, does very well in low light (very important in the parks), and it's light weight. We're using these to film our show as well, ame I've been very impressed at the quality and versatility.

The Canon Vixia G20 looks awesome, I'm always on the look out for a better video camera. Have you ever tried it on POC/HM? - those I find are the hardest to capture (due to low light).
