What types of souvies do the hotels sell other than refillable mugs......

We're staying at the Contemporary in June and I'm interested in what other types of souvies we will find. We would not usually splurge for a deluxe (thanks SoG!) so I really want to remember this one. I'm guessing they have t-shirts, pins, hats, beach towels?? Any other suggestions?

You're right on all of the above. I also remember mugs, shot glasses, magnets, robes, and polos. I love to use my Contemporary mug in the a.m. Most of the resorts have little beanie Bellhop Mickeys that are holding a suitcase w/the resort logo on the side (I *think* these are still available).

Another great souvie from the CR is the monorail and the model Contemp. that you can buy to go with it.

We did a "postcard" tour once! We visited every resort, using Disney transportation, and got the free postcard for that resort at Guest Services - and had the Guest Services CM autograph it for us! It was a fun way to see every resort, and come home with something for our photo album!

I get a Disney Pin for that resort. So far I only have two but one is for Dixie Landings (now POR), so that is probably destined to become a valuable item. I also have CSR and definitely plan to get one for AKL this trip. They usually have all types of things with the resort's logo. Have fun shopping!

Let's see, the Contemporary has no less than 3 souvenier shops and a pin kiosk... you can probably find just about anything you want. We have gotten the pin for the Contemporary, a shot glass, a shirt (polo type, I think), plus every other type of WDW souvenier imaginable! There is no limit to what you can find!

Key chains with the resort logo are also available. My DH has started buying these to attach to our luggage to help find it on the carousel at the airport.

The Grand Floridian had a nice store, where you could robes, golf shirts and other apparel with the GF logo.

When we stayed at CR, the only thing we were disappointed in were the tshirts.

They had nothing cute for adults. Only very plain tshirts or the more expensive polo shirts.

The CSR gift shop had mickey and minnie ears when we were there 2 weeks ago.

I loved the Polynesian Resort! Me and my friend both bought grass skirts and flower headpeices (I forget what these are called). A very unusual souvie! One of my favorites.

A lot of the resorts sell items that are specific to their theming that are very, very nice. These items are not your usual standard t shirt, key chain etc with the resort logo but items that represent the theming.& culture that the resort represents. For example: the gift shop at AKL has some wonderful African items, like carved animals, bowls, jewelry. etc., Poly has great ginger scented perfume, body lotion, clothing, jewelry, etc., CSR has wonderful Aztec/Mexican themed bowls, figurines, WL has items with a Indian, Pacific Northwest theme like dream catchers, jewelry, carved totem poles, foods from this area, Boardwalk has the Wyland Gallery with exquiste masterpieces of the ocean and sea animals (these are quite pricey though), YC/BC has items deplicting the sea coast, OKW has some beautiful prints of Florida/Key West beach scenes, CBR has island or beach themed items and GF has a shop with some lovely Victorian themed items. For the life of me I can not think of resort themed items at POR or the value resorts but maybe they do have them, I just have not seen them. Have fun collecting mementos from the wonderful WDW resorts!!

You can find just about anything under the sun!

Some things we have bought and/or seen: Resort-themed beach towels, dishes, coffee cups, jewelry (especially watches) CD's of WDW and Resort themes, videos, clothing, backpacks, blankets, bags, souvenier books, keychains, luggage, ties, hats, stuffed animals, a real working monorail toy, trainsets, ornaments, candles, stationary, stickers, toys. They also have a healthy amount of toiletries, and convenience-store items. If you want/need it, you'll find it!!!

We have resort-specific magnets all over our refridgerator & lisence plates on the walls in this room. We first collected them only at resorts we stayed at, then expanded it to the resorts we had eaten or shopped at. The resort shops all have a selection of t-shirts, etc. with their logo in some form or another. We love hopping between resorts checking out the stores!

Our fave trinkets to bring home are..... "toothpick holders and coasters" AKA Shot glasses and ashtrays! LOL

I find that some resorts have a larger selection of goods than others....

I was really disapointed with the selection at The World Of Disney Store at DD. I was a tad rushed (only an hour for that store! LOL) but it seemed like it was all the same..... I bought every NON t-shirt necked shirt for women....... total..... 4! (wanted 10 new shirts!)

As it turns out everything (except 2 of the shirts) that I bought at WOD I found at the OKW's Conch Flats. ::::::: shrug :::::::::::
