What type of transportation do you usually take from the airport?

From MCO, we take FL Tours - they have been great.

Sometimes, we also start our vacation in Fort Lauderdale (FLL) at my parent's condo and just use their car to drive to WDW up the Turnpike

Sounds like you have made up your mind already- but I still want to post in agreement with others about Mears. If I go solo again- I would probably still use them because I wouldn't mind as much the long (time wise) trip to the resort and wouldn't have as much luggage and the kids especially the youngest and carseat and stroller etc etc etc. LOL But with them all- no way would I do Mears. They cramped as many people as possible in one of those little vans and I was cramped going both ways. It took an hour and a half to get to the resort and my flight came in at 11:15pm!!!! I thought I'd get there late- but I didn't expect to be checking in right around 2am!!! I also didn't like having to go back to the airport so early. I realize they do that to ensure you get there on time- but I hate trying to blow and hour and a half at the airport!

I haven't completely decided yet if we'll rent a car or go with a towncar (we'll have to do the van with our family of 5 and all our luggage/etc). I'm leaning more towards renting a car because I'd rather have the convenience of a vehicle IF it's needed -with young children who knows if I'll need to go to the store. I'm already thinking- how will I pack enough pullups (for nighttime) and swim diapers? LOL Geesh, we'll already have enough we're lugging to/from the airport including all our luggage, carseat, stroller and such! Plus my kids want to go to that "other" theme park so we'll probably be going there also. I just hope I can find a good deal on renting a vehicle.. I don't want to pay $450 for the rental car!
