I'm trying to figure out a few things about DVC. The first would be what type of room will we need?

Well, since occupancy for anyting under a 2 bedroom is only 4, I'm guessing that's what you will need. MS has been allowing 5 in a 1 bedroom, but they will NOT allow 5 in a studio. It really depends on who is in your group and what your bed requirements are. If you are a couple with 3 small children, you might be able to get by with a 1 bedroom and have the 3rd child either sleepin the pac-n-play (if small enough) or an air mattress if not. If you are a couple with older children, get the 2 bedroom because you will then also have 2 bathrooms!

well you could do a 1-bedroom - but I would go with a 2-bedroom. You will be happier.

1-bedroom has a king bed in master, queen sleeper sofa in the livingroom.

a 2-bedroom has the same plus either a queen bed plus a double (full) sleeper sofa or 2 queen beds

Either a 2 bedroom or 2 studios (depending on the point chart)

But two studios will not connect and they may not be located near each other. They may even be on two different floors.

We're a family of 4 with 2 teenagers of different sexes. We take a 2-bedroom and the kids get their own beds.

remember... once you go to a 2 bdrm, you'll never want to get anything else! :earboy2:

Beacause occupancy discussions have a habit of turning heated quickly, all such discussions are refered to this thread: DVC Occupancy Thread
