What type of offsite DVC would you like to see?

What type of offsite DVC Resort would you like to see?

I would love to have the choice to take a cruise on points without the high points that are needed now to cruise. I am a little impartial to cruises. But I too would love to see more choices at WDW.
 
I would love to see a DVC location in either a ski location or near a national park. Right now all the DVC locations emphasize beach and get too hot in the summer. Since I already live in a hot spot, that has 100 days of 90 degree + temp, I want to escape someplace cool in the summer. There are already plenty of places for those who want a warm winter escape.

Two good choices that I agree with. Somehow if ski is included, it also has to be a year round resort, otherwise the seasons will be too off balance. A ski resprt near a national park?

I'm not really sure if I'd like to see another offsite DVC resort, at least not in the U.S.

Now, "onsite" is a different story. I would definitely stay in a Disneyland DVC resort, especially if I ever moved out to the west coast (and in that event, I'd probably have to add-on there too). Although, when I talk about a CA DVC resort, it wouldn't be something like the old Newport Beach concept that ended up getting scrapped and sold to Marriott... that's too far away from DL. What I had in mind was if there was a DVC resort built right next to the parks, or at least within 10-15 min shuttle bus distance to DLR.

I guess I have about the same interest level for a DVC resort near DL Paris and DL Tokyo. For those int'l locations, it's mostly the concept of having a familiar "Disneyfied" haven to escape to at night. :p Don't get me wrong, I love the local B&B's and inns when I travel abroad, but escaping "home" to a DVC resort abroad sounds quite nice too. So I suppose that means I'd be okay with an int'l offsite DVC resort. The problem there is picking a country... too many to choose from. I do love Europe though, so would lean towards a European DVC.

Add me to the group interested in something new. I Love HH and we spend at least half our trips there. It alittle bit of disney with only half the drive. I like the idea of a cruise or ski destination. :earboy2:
 
I like the 2- offsite DVC's. I would like to see one on the west coast of Florida because we usually stay in a condo when we go there. I think that when you are at HH or VB you KNOW that you are staying in a Disney resort.
 
I voted other, I'd like to see one more addition to the DVC. Build a DVC for Animal Kingodom Lodge, Plenty of room to do it! :earsboy:
 
I haven't voted yet. Not sure whether a location near Disneyland is a "major city" or an "other". Disneyland Paris might be good too ... yeah, I know that's a "major city", but not sure if that's what the poll is looking at.

If Disneyland is your first preference then you should choose OTHER.
 
I never knew about point based "time shares" before DVC. I know there are many other ones out there, but I like mine. I would love if DVC had more options. I know that the quality will be there. I voted for a ski resort, but I would really like DVC to be in lots of different places.
 
I know HH and Vero sales hurt the prospect for an offsite resort. I sure would like to see one. I always think of Washington and all there is to see there, New York and a ski destination with summer activities.

Perhaps a better question than what would you like to see is what do you think would sell the best.
