What type of bag do you recommend bringing into the parks and camera?

Do you recommend bringing in a regular backpack for a man? We will be bringing in lunches and either 2 or 4 refillable water bottles for a family of 4. DO you recommend 4 water bottles or just sharing the 2? We will also be bringing in lunches and a camcorder?

If not, what type of bag do you recommend for a man to carry?

We each carry a bag so one person doesn't have a huge mass of stuff to carry. We use string backpacks. We have tried just about every type of bag out there (hip packs, shoulder bags, etc) and those work best for us. I have a neoprene case that fits snug around my camera for when it is in my bag. The kids carry their own stuff in their bags (autograph books, pen, coins, snacks etc). DH usually carries his wallet and poncho in the pockets of his cargo shorts.
We also have water bottle holders that hang across your body rather than carrying them.
If you are bringing lunches, you might be able to empty a bag or 2 after lunch and stuff them in another bag.

Our past experience is that the back pack x 2 works great for a family of 4,12 bottles of water,lunch for each of us,snacks for both kids and our personals including towels.
