What tv shows did you get into years after they first aired?

Perry Mason. Started binge watching it 4 years ago when we retired. That would be 55 years after the last episode was filmed.

Yeah, I mean tons of shows were on the air when I was a kid that were from way-back. Shows like Gilligan's Island, Andy Griffith, etc. I watched a lot of that stuff.

One contemporary show that I came to a bit late was Law & Order, and it is much beloeved. I think I was too young to get in on the ground floor with it in 1989, but I did discover the joys of watching Lenny later on - Lenny rules!

Those old shows, the actors got no residuals. And even more modern shows, the residuals end after time. A friend was on Little House on The Prairie, it went on the air 50 years ago and off the air 42 years ago. The 50th anniversary of the show kicked off all kinds of personal appearance opportunities, and events that the actors use as a "stream of income" as he puts it.

Ted Lasso
New Girl
Love both of these immensely.

Just got to Veep season 3 and I finally see what all the hype was about. This show is REALLY funny but it's like they were playing it safe the first 2 seasons.

Reba. Just finished the series and I loved it. Not her new show Happys place but the old show.....A single mom who works too hard who loves her kids and never stops........

Outlander

I never had Starz until a couple of months ago when I came across a deal something like $25 for a year

I loved seeing the actor who played Brock as well as the one who played Van appear on happy's place last season.

The Resident. I binged it last year on Paramount + and it had already ended. One good thing about that was I didn't have to wait for new episodes, LOL

I guess technically Friends. I watched it occasionally when it originally aired but I didn't get REALLY into it until it was in syndication years later.

Warehouse 13 on prime. It aired from 2009-2014. I had never heard of it until just a couple months ago. We enjoy it a lot. We also recently started rewatching Grimm. I forgot how much I like it.

Modern Family

Schitt’s Creek

Both of these shows had us asking how we missed them, or any buzz about them, when they aired.

As of last night it's Abbot Elementary. I watched the first couple of episodes on Hulu - very funny!

Freaks and Geeks(Became one of my favorite shows ever)
The Office (just cause my daughter had it on constantly

When I was younger greatly loved Get Smart only in reruns
