I just found out sadly that the Cookie Cabin in AK is no longer a Cookie Cabin but now an Ice Cream Cabin:sad1:  It's probably been a while but I haven't eaten there in a few trips.

DH and I had Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches there some years back and they were so good. The cookies were warm and the ice cream was cold. Yumm. What has been discontinued that you liked? Maybe you'll help me not look forward to some other treat that no longer exists :rotfl:

The first time we visited the Contemporary Resort, we ordered Pizza from room service (back in 1991). It came in the shape of Mickey Ears! We were so delighted with it that I planned a special room service Pizza dinner for our arrival night for the next visit. But, the pizza did not come in the shape of Mickey Ears... It was just a regular pizza shape... <sigh>

I've read about this pizza. I'm so surprised it was discontinued because it sounds so cute. Probably a hassle to cook I guess

They used to have a real fruity strawberry type drink at the Tangorora (sp) Terrace for breakfast. No one knows anything about it now at Kona.

When we stayed at the WL in 95, they had a coffee bar in the lobby (that was a bar in the evening)....in the AM they had these huge, fabulous apple cinnamon muffins- they were so yummy! I had one 2-3 times we were there. When we went back in 2003, the muffins AND the coffee bar were long gone. :guilty:

When my family visited in the 70's and early 80's they used to sell plastic oranges with orange juice by the Tiki Room. You got a little straw that you stuck through a hole in the green lid. The orange juice was so good!! I also had my picture taken with the Florida Orange there as well.

i missed the Welch's Grape Juice stands!!! They had them in Magic Kingdom in the late 70's /early 80's.
They had Purple, Red or White grape juice!!

It was YUMMY!!!

and yes i remember the those orange juices in those plastic orange container too!!

This is what I miss, too!

The Main St Bake Shop had a chocolate chip/walnut pie, way back in the mid 80s. While I hae a similar recipe that I have made and it is good, somehow things like that always better there and when you dont have to cook them.

I think about those plastic oranges all the time. Wasn't it called the Sunshine terrace or something like that???? I miss the flan form the Cantina de San Angel in Epcot. I would wait in line just for that. And the frozen pink lemonade bars that had the wax coating on them. :tink: Bring them back!!!

Cantina de San Angel in Epcot used to serve a wonderful watermelon juice. It was so refreshing on a hot day!

Beaver Tails.

BUT, for a wonderful meal, our favorite place was the Adventureland
Veranda - and the terriyaki hamburgers, with fried rice and eggrolls....
these were the best hamburgers EVER (served with a pineapple slice) -
used to be our first and last meals during our visits.

anyone remember them from the adventureland egg roll cart? Been gone since late 90s...they were a hotdog weiner and cheese inside an egg roll.

i miss the old fashioned mickey bars! :earboy2:
when i was young, i'd always get a mickey bar at WDW or disneyland. they were mickey's farmiliar silouette, vanilla ice cream with chocolate ice cream eyes & mouth, and hard chocolate coating on the ears. on a trip in the mid-90's, however, i was shocked to find that the mickey heads were now completely coated in a hard chocolate shell :mickeybar don't get me wrong, i still get at least one each trip, but i liked em best the old way!

Oh wow, that sounds very tasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In AK, at Krusifari Bakery in the Morning they used to have cinnamon rolls that were kept warm in a skillet. Absolutely the best things you've ever tasted. Unfortunately, they replaced them with the same run-of-the-mill, room temperature, cinnamon rolls that you can get anywhere else at WDW.

Chicken satay from Chakranadi Chicken Shop in Asia in AK. It was REALLY good!
