So, it's time to do the shopping!!! Summer is much like Orlando here at my house, so we are good on clothing and swimwear.

I'm planning to buy Frogg Toggs cooling towels, a battery charger for my iphone, and maybe some little personal fans.

I'll be traveling just myself and 2 DDs by air, so space is at a premium. I don't want to lug things my kids won't use.

I considered Kingdom Keepers books or a Hidden Mickeys book for my read-aholic child. Printable word searches and trivia, too, from the sticky threads. Coloring sheets and such for the little one.

We'll be buying snack pails and autograph books when we get to the hotel and doing pressed pennies.

So, for 2 or 3 other cute and small little surprises, what do you buy before you leave home? Most of what I've bought at the Dollar Store before has turned out to be a dud. Cracker Barrel has some cute Disney fans for under $10. (We do have some large misting fans from our trip a few years back, but they're SO HEAVY!) I'd love something that glows for our night in MK. Ideas? Of course, Disney themed is preferred.

Will the kids have ipads for the plane? A few new apps or a itune card to get them is always a hit with my little guy. I also try to do things that they need anyway with a disney theme....pjs, tooth brushes, body wash etc. My guys also like eatable treats, disney themed like fruit snacks. For a toy like thing, we love the crayola model clay. So fun and not the least bit sticky or messy. We like to take turns making something and the other one has to guess what it is. I don't think we have taken it on a flight yet but it should be fine. Maybe a few polly pockets, or similar type toy?

Anything glow is great for the parks at night. We found a mickey wand at the $ store one year and that was great. We also have bought a big pack of glow in the dark brackets to share. We got ours at Micheals.

Target has 15 glow bracelets for $1 in a tube and the dollar store has a ton of Disney items (some that glow) that are easy to pack from figurines to notebooks to pens. The party store had a ton of Disney stuff too from tatoos, to 29 cent tiara combs, to a $5 stuffed Minnie Mouse that was also a coin purse (great for pressed pennies).

I always bring an extra suitcase (especially with Disney Express and we fly Southwest so no fees) and put some snacks, an extra pillow, prizes, etc in it. (Plus one suitcase is always over so it gives me somewhere to shift to. Yes, I'm THAT woman in line with her bags open at the counter )

Love the clay idea. And I definitely need to add the apps/gift card to my list. They will want to choose, but apps are a huge treat at our house. I've been holding out for awhile. Too bad all those classic Disney movies don't hold the same appeal.

I may just bring the extra suitcase this time. Haven't done that since the age of diapers and baby food. We fly Southwest too.
