My DH is restricting me on clothes this time around. So my question is how cool does it get at night? We are going to be at FW next week till the end of June and I know its going to be very hot during the day, but do you still need sweatshirts and jeans for the evenings?

I would throw in a couple sweatshirts and a pair of capris. It does sometimes get cool in the evenings and if you are in a restaurant, it can be down right cold. I always bring too much, but I'd rather have too many clothes and not have to do as much laundry.

Thats what I keep telling my husband but he is trying to lessen the load on the RV and save some gas. I am already packing twice as much summer stuff then I need.:yay:

We both wore skirts and shorts the whole time-- I brought a light hoodie, but never used it. LP wore her rain coat a few times for warmth, but that was usually in the restaurant or the boat ride home. I would say jeans are not needed, but a light jacket is fine. No matter how much I pack I always seem to forget something! :)

Lol-- I wouldn't know! :) Actually I went with my sister-in-law, LP... the TR is about to be updated with "background info"-- that will give you the scoop.

What is LP?

ETA: Nevermind, I'm following your other thread now.

If you really want to save space/weight just where your birthday suits as long as you are inside your camper or tent that is. ;)

Seriously in the summer I have never known it to get what I would call "COOL" at night. In July, for example, it may rain every evening, but it is still warm and humid when its over. Rain gear could be efficient in doing double duty to provide a little warmth if needed. Heck if its that bad go shopping. Tell hubby its not your fault. Had to buy it to stay warm. I packed according to your rules honey!

I cant even imagin wearing a sweatshirt in FL in June!!! As far as the freezing restaraunts.....ya better enjoy it it while it lasts!!! As soon as you go back outdoors youll be sweating again!!

BUT.....just to give you some arguement-ammo....how much fuel will an extra sweatshirt really require???

I live an hour west of the fort and it has been HOT!!!! 97 today with a heat index of 105! It's like living in a convection oven, so I highly doubt you will need anything warmer than a t-shirt & shorts. As far as nights go, it still is 75 and humid. My advice......wear as little as possible (without being arrested:lmao:)

I agree with Jim, less is best:rotfl:. If it wouldn't scare everyone off I'd have no problem;).
We were there late may and I had sweat coming from places I didn't even know could sweat:scared1:. I don't know if it was just my preggo body or what but I was miserable. Shorts, tanks, t-shirts is all you'll need.

Thanks for all that advice. I am sure my husband will love the idea of wearing less clothing but I am sure it would not go over well with my 13 yr old. I guess now I will have to pack more t-shirts since I will be drenched and have to change them every hour. But, don't care since I will be in DISNEY!!! YEAH!!

I'm thinking really loud and bright Hawaiian shirts with Bermuda shorts. Can't go wrong with that combination.

For other suggestions, try the "People of Wal-Mart" website for the latest fashion statements.

I'm a fan of flip-flops myself....

Not so much a fan of wearing crocs though....

But I did pick up a 13th National Championship Alabama Crimson Tide set of flip-flops this summer already. I was lucky to get them because all the API fans had been secretly buying them up causing a temporary shortage. :rotfl:

Seriously, tell DH that if he wants to limit the clothes you bring then he can do the laundry at the Comfort Stations. It's $2 a load to wash and $2 a load to dry (all in quarters). I mean, we can't have you walking around in dirty clothes now, can we? While he's doing laundry you can be luxuriating at the pool.

Since I'm a guy, I can tell him this no problem!

Otherwise he'll have to hand wash them in the big sink in the laundry room and then hang them out on a clothes line :laundy:.

Oh where is Larry when you need him? (reference to another famous Fort Fiends thread on the Dis)

We leave tomorrow and are not bringing any pants. :-)
I will bring my hoodie and my daughter's hoodie because we get chilly in the A/C sometimes when we go inside a restaurant.

A sweatshirt? In FL? In summer? :scared1:

A hoodie w/no pants. Do only your and your DD's top halves get chilly in restaurants? :lmao:

If your no pants is a reference to Another Alice's packing list, then no hoodies are allowed either. Only a swimsuit, sunglasses, sunscreen and comfy shoes.:rotfl:
