What to wear for a family portrait on the beach??

Do not forget to think about the family's skin tone. We did the white/kahki look on the beach and while my son and I looked good, it completely washed out my dh and the baby. Still turned out good but this time I think we are going to try something different. I was thinking maybe navy polos and jeans.
